nitrogen deficiency in flowering

Hey guys. I'm on my first grow and I am looking for some advice. I've been growing a Northern Lights plant for about 3 months, initially I used about 150w of cfls that were kept pretty close which is why it hasnt stretched much, but then i switched it to a 250w hps and it has nearly doubled in size.

I'm growing it in a lightmix biobizz soil, 4 gallon container, using biobizz nutes like biogrow/fishmix and biobloom. I usually feed it every 3 days or whenever leaves start to wilt a little, upping the water dosage by 100ml each time now, my only issue is a nitrogen deficiency that has been present for awhile.

Fan leaves are falling out a bit more now since i put it in flowering (for about 5 days), and i really need help with the nute dosage.

Up until flowering, i would give it 2ml of biogrow and 2ml of fishmix on 6.5 ph water, however i only recently realized you could mix nutes together (stupid i know), so up until this point i been giving the nutes separately (2 nute waterings then 3rd one just plain water).

Honestly i was a bit scared of overfertilizing since its my first grow, and maybe thats why i didnt adventure to use more in case i would have messed it up.

On the last feeding (2 days ago) i gave it 1ml biogrow,1ml fishmix and 0.7ml of biobloom all together in about 800ml of water. The nitrogen deficiency is still ongoing (probably due to the rapid growth from switching it to bloom phase) but needs to be fixed asap. What would you guys recommend, should i only use fishmix and bloom and also up the dosage on the fishmix ?

Tomorrow it will be the 3rd day so it probably will be hungry, im not sure if i should just give it plain water considering the last two waterings ive used nutes, or maybe i should feed it some nutes this time as well in order to try and stop the deficiency and leave plain water for next watering.

Ill upload some pics later today.

Thanks !

I can't talk about your nutes or soil. But I can tell you these plants need more N than any BLOOM product will give you. Maybe your soil mix will compensate? I use a soiless mix and I don't start using BLOOM nutes until week 2 of flower. On the other hand I don't COMPLETELY eliminate GROW nutes until there's only 3 weeks or so left in flower.

In general I start with GROW then add BLOOM to that same solution to raise the PPM in flower after 2nd week. As the flowerering stage progresses I slowly decrease the GROW nutes and replacing them with more BLOOM nutes. Until the last 3 weeks when I'm only using BLOOM nutes. I do not flush my plants. However I do slowly drop the PPMs to reflect how much is needed by the plants at each particular week of flower they happen to be in.

That is general terms. Each brand of nutes is different. Don't get tied up with name brands. Pot plants are NO different than any other plant. They need the same nutrients as any other plant. They may use or need different amounts of those nutrients. BUT THERE IS NO SECRET SUPER KILLER ADDITIVE THAT WILL INCREASE THE GROWTH OR PRODUCTION OF YOUR PLANTS. All you can do is supply the basic nutrients every plants needs in the doses needed at the times they need them in the ideal environment! PERIOD!

Here are some pics (they are bad i know), the bottom half of the plant is wilting but the soil is still moist im not sure if i should feed it yet (its been 2 days). You can see the yellow leaves and how the deficiency has climbed up a bit.

What would you guys suggest i do as far as that is concerned ?

The most nutes ive fed it was 2 feedings ago (2ml of biogrow + 2ml of fishmix in 700ml of water), also that was the first time i mixed the nutes together in the same water and she seemed fine, i reckon i should probably use that for a few weeks and hold off on giving any biobloom untill needed (by replacing biogrow and eventually fishmix), i will also up the dosage to 1L as i barely got any runoff with 800ml.

As i've mentioned before up until recently i never mixed my nutes, which is probably why she developed the nitrogen deficiency as she wouldnt get enough at one time, i think thats the case i just want to see if anyone can confirm it.

my biogrow is 4 - 3 -6
fishmix 5 - 1 - 4
biobloom 2.0 - 7 - 4

go bit easy on the nutes , a would just give plain water for couple weeks , dosnt look to bad , that is lack of light down at the bottom , you should be chopping a good 3rd of that plant away , dont be scared ,

Lighting could be more/better.
Could be closer too. That's why you had such stretch - needed to be closer.

I see NO deff's!

I also suggest as strongly as I can. STOP bloom feeding for the next 10 days and THEN restart "bloom" foods!
That will be a big way to not get P tox or yellowing of the plant too early!

I have had leaves yellowing off 2-3 weeks into flower loads of times in the past before, my smoke always comes out top draw :bigjoint:.when growing autos I only go half the strength on nutrients slowly buiding it up, with normal strains I slowly build up to 4ml per ltr of water. I also use BioBizz nuits grow/bloom/topmax. I slowly bring down the grow down to 1-2ml per ltr of water during flower. and I only flush twice maybe 3 times at the end with plain room temperature water. if that was me id flush it for a couple of waterings then slowly build back up on the bloom. that's my 2 pence worth anyway, hope you sort it out what ever you choose to do :leaf:
