Alright so it's day 5 of week 4 veg stage and my Jack Herer plant has been looking this way for about a week now and hasn't gotten worse or better. She looks over waterd alittle as well as to much of something or not enough but I have been treating it exactly the same as my other plant and she is double the size of this one and they both sprouted at the same time, but the smaller plant is still growing new leaves every day just not much in height . The only thing I did to the other plant was top it but the only reason I didnt top this one is this is my first grow and I wanted to see the deference. And now the only deference I see is one is thriving and was isn't it seems.

First 3 pictures are of the one that is a lot smaller and needs help. Las 2 pictures are of the one I topped and is twice as big and tall as the other one. Please Help

You should name the bigger one Elizabeth and the smaller more fragile one Marie. John Prine Lake Marie

Damon, your plants look fabulous. Full and rich... IMHO, chalk it up to genetics.

Oh ok lol I'm glad you think they are fine. This my first grow and I guess I'm just super paranoid. Thanks for the Reply orbo!

What I believe that your seeing is explosive new growth that has not greened up yet on the smaller plant. She looks beautiful and to me from the pics looks like she is having a major growth spurt . Anything could have caused the slow growth. Looks like she's catching up

Yea you and orbo are totally right about the new growth. After 12 hours of light the plant really perked up and greened up. I have been running 12/12 from seed as well so I knew it wouldn't grow as tall but that was the idea in my limited grow space with a sativa dominant strain. But the dam plant has 10 nodes and is only 7" tall! It's so hard to even trim the thing how bushy and leafy it is. The other plant is really stretching and is a lot easier to maintain. Thanks for help Jimmy Sparkle!

Also, I believe we are also experiencing simultaneous contrast because of the pot color.

Is Jack Herer a really green color? Like I said this is my first grow and don't know what to expect out of the color but it already smells amazing and it's only 5 weeks old. Also iv have been using mircal grow potting mix and iv read a lot about people saying it's very bad stuff and I understand why but iv also read where people used and never had problems with it so Idk. I was going to use roots organic but it took a month and a week to freaking get here! And my plants are now 5 weeks old but ill be using roots for the rest of my grows so if you have any thoughts on roots organic greenfield that would be great.

You need to bring those out of the pot a bit and get a fan on them...imo that smaller one isn't growing because that's almost 8 inches inside the pot and I'm assuming your using cfls, the light probably can't get down that far ..

I'm using a 400w hps with a reflective hood and it's about 18" from the plans and yes there is constant moving air on them all the time but I do agree on them being down to far in the pots but the pots were so big I didn't need that much dirt. The bigger plant didn't have a problem growing out and over the pot but this one kept real small but is catching up now and is starting to stretch
