Nitrogen gas for storage?

Has any one used Nitrogen gas for storage?
Im told if you remove all oxygen then it will keep bright green and fresh and never go "Last years"

I just vaccume package.Have opened 3 year old packages and they are like the day it was sealed.

I had mine turn brown, even though it was bone dry.

mine didnt turned bron i opened it after 2 years and it was as ususal when i bought it back....

Did you "Suck" the air from the turkey bag or compress it down with a seal a meal?
The ones that went brown were in seal a meal and not "Compressed" so they would not crush apart, I have never done that although I did test one and it did not break apart just got smallish for a time.

I did read something a while back about this being a good long term storage option, but I have never tried, be interested to hear from someone that has done it.

yes nitrogen replacement will work much better than anything else

Just grab a can of "420Preserve" and call it a day.
