Hey guys,

So i am growing some unknown sativa-ish plant and had flipped the lights on 25th Nov. its over 6 weeks now but i dont see any crystals yet. There are lots n lots n lots of white hair and really thick colas but no crystals. Pics below.

I am using lucas formula with 2 x 50w led lights. plant growth has been really good and the stretch was crazy.. I have no space left in my cab.

So here are the pics.
Your plants look nice and healthy the reason why you dont see any trichromes yet is because it is a sativa type plant and they usually take a little longer to flower. Ive had a plant that didnt show Crystals until like 9 weeks. just a friendly recommendation to boost your crsytals you should use bud blood its a great product thats effective or mad farmers mother of all blooms but if yiu do get mad farmers use very little not what they recommend because its really strong stuff I usually use 1 teaspoon per gallon. Good luck bro.

Hey Lu.. Yea im gonna give her a few more weeks and keep an eye on the crystals using a scope. LEts see how she turns out. Its 2 full months since I flipped the lights so yea another 2-3 weeks to go. Most prolly by feb end early march I'll get to smoke it up. lol

Those flowers look very immature. I'm growing a sativa girl now who is 9 months old, went thru 2 stretches, and is still delivering bud, though she is slowing down. Under a microscope she is less than 10% amber trichs. Vaped fresh off the plant, the high is trippy and sublime. Sativa high is well worth the wait! Congratulations.

You got at least a month to go, you do not want to pick that girl too early.
*Unless you want some crazy a** s**t. The earlier you harvest the more head-high(aka up/euforic as well as paranoic/panici) it will be. Still you should wait for at least a couple of amber ones, as harvest before that = lose potential weight.

That is as good as it is going to get, imho. Sure the plant will produce more as time goes on, but no one hit wonder will it be. Some strains just don't get the resin production that cup winners and og's get. If heat (air or water temps) ia an issue, you will see less resin production as well. I'd take the above advice and get some indica dom. strains or something.
Visible trichs have nothing to do with the buzz. Try some tropical landrace that takes 15 weeks... better then any indica could dream of being...

Not to mention its well worth the extra few weeks for sativa!! Much more flavor, smell & head buzz

Der Diddy Dum. Ahh, tell me about these magic sativas that I, so lowly of a invalid, have never tried. Tell me about my life experiences, he who can wisely decipher a man's life by reading one statement that had nothing to say about my experiences of toking. You must work for this guy:

I never said sativa were bad because they have little resin showing. I was simply telling guy if he wants to see "crystals" he should try and indica, not a long tropical sativa.

I don't need somebody who doesn't know me trying to tell me about smoking sativas. Been smoking since 1995 so I'm fairly familiar with weed varieties, but thanks for telling me shit I learned back in high school.

Defensive much!!??

Indica/sativa has nothing to do with trich coverage though?

Plenty of low trichome indicates exist as well. I wasn't telling u what you like dummy

Ps. I still doubt youve come across many long flowering land race unless u grew them yourself.

Yeah, because I have no friends and none of us like sativas and I've never been in the tropics, so yeah you got me.

And again, DUH, yes there are plenty of indies and sativas that have little trich coverage but indies are known for the heavy production. Let's not play coy.

So the guy who gave me the seeds said it take min 9 weeks to flower and the weed is supposed to be a real good head high, an up and at em kinda high.. so lets see. another month to go..
Does this mean its an auto? Usually Flowering can be started when you want it to. If its got a min of 9 weeks then it must be auto

Wow..

So its going to be 10 weeks tomorrow. Time to chop her down. already i can feel the thinner stems to be hollow.

To be honest this is all for personal consumption. As long as it helps me unwind at the end of a long day at the office, i'd say I did good.

From the sample i took last week, she looks good to go.

I dont think ill be dumping any molasses or stuff like that.

As for the auto bit, no she is not an auto as demo'ed by the super bushy clones i have taken . Once the mom is cut the clones go into flowering.

At 14 off /10 on lights I expect the clones to be ready by march end early april.
