Try a local nursery that also sells seeds and gardening supplies.

Good luck and good growing.

I order shit online all the time and have it shipped. I don't really care who knows, b/c the gov't has got enough shit to deal with then to come after my medical lazy ass.
Unless of course you plan to grow LBs.+++++

But if your just doing for your self, and in my case, my girl too (who suffers from a broken collar bone, diabetes, AND insomnia), nobody on the outside is going to care. Wasn't that the point of OG.com? Grow so much that they can't do anything about it, except legalize it?

That's another good option. And even though it's perfectly legal to purchase from a hydro store, some people might feel funny about it.

The other option is to purchase from a conventional garden supply or seed company that does business online or mail order.

The best commercial soil I have ever used is made by a company called Intervale. Premium Potting Soil is what it's called. I can get it at my local nursery, but I know for a fact it can be purchased online through Johnny's Selected Seeds.

Thanks for all the help. I am ging to grow 60 plants indoors so its not that big of a grow. but to have that much soil shipped to my house would cost a bundle. That is why I was looking at walm art lowes home depot etc

60 plants is not exactly what I would consider a small grow operation. Whatever you choose will cost you.

Apparently you are determined to purchase the mass produce garbage offered by the large chains.

I offered the option of a local nursery but you batted that one down pretty quick.

All I can say is....

Good luck and good growing.

Try this, the ingredients are redily available just about anywhere. Use "store-bought" Topsoil, not "Backyard Dirt"!

"Four-way Mix" (equal parts):
1 part Topsoil
1 part Compost
1 part Perlite (or vermiculite)
1 part "Steer Manure" *

* The "1 part "Steer Manure" can literaly be made up of any combination of "balanced" fertilizers or nutrients you feel like using (I actually use "Gardner & Bloome's Barnyard Mix", which is a variety of animal manures, along with 2 seperate, balanced, "dry fertilizers" that are made up of a "whole laundry list" of various organic meals and "Mycorrhizae" micro-organisms. "Kellogg's Organic All Purpose 4-4-4" and "Whitney Farms Organic All Purpose 5-5-5"). The whole idea is to keep the overall "potency" of the "1 part Steer Manure" no "hotter" than "plain old, composted Steer Manure", so that the whole "4-Way Mix" isn't too rich. You can keep the "1 part Steer Manure" diluted by using a little of the "other" 3 ingredients (Topsoil, compost and Perlite) as "filler". I usually omit the "1 part Steer Manure" (or make it pretty "watered down") untill the plants are a few weeks old.

Add Dolomite Lime (about 1 or 2 Tblspns. per gallon of mix - enjoy!

The overall stratigy is to use this "4-way Mix" as a moderately neutral medium all the way through (from seedling to harvest). During the veg stage - add a little "High N Booster" (I use 5-1-1 Fish Emulsion and 10-2-1 Mexican Bat Guano). During the flower stage - add a little "High P Booster" (I use 0-10-10 Fish Emulsion and 0-12-0 Indonesian Bat Guano). The "High N" and "High P" boosters can vary according to whatever you can find locally, but Fish Emulsion and Bat Guano aren't that hard to find!

i grew 65 plants. this is what it cost me to bring em to harvest.
400 hps . 200$
600 hps 260$
building costs for 8 by 8 room-- 200$ roughly
3- 100 watt hps lamps and cords--300$
2 bales of promix. 80$
2 bags of wormcastings---50$
mylar roll---30$
buckets and grow bags----100$
fox farm grow big 25$
fox farm tiger bloom--25$
superthrive --10$
spray bottles---10$
6 --2 tube 4 foot t8 floros---150$
electricity-----a shitload. my bill was about 250 a month...not sooo bad.
65 plants, white ice, g13 x haze, violator kush, skunk x haze, super skunk, white widow...
i spent a lot of time on these plants. 4 plus hours a day/ with no one to help. my girls cool with me growing but wont lift a finger to help.
it cost a good chunk of change. after all the expenses on the room. there was no way in hell i was gonna grow bagseeds.lol good luck. 60 is an ass ton for indoors. you could smell my plants 40 feet from my front door. i never been so scared ...but it was worth it. i pulled 4 plus oz off each plant. times 65 thats an assload of ganja man.

oh heres a great mix. soiless . all you have to do is water with plain water. till a month passes then the nutes wont be so strong. right before flower id start to add tiger bloom.
promix
wormcastings
perlite
vermaculite
blood meal
bone meal
bat guano---jamaica or mexico
add water to the mix and i use a flora nectar mollases carb food to give the microbes something to chow on. water brings em to life in the soil
this was used in 2 gal grow bags and i had 5 foot sativas, 3 1/2 foot indicas. during flower after 1 month of veg then gained about 1 to 3 feet depending on sativa or indica varieties

Almost 10 lbs. on your first grow?
If you don't have pics to post I'm calling you a liar dude
first off it wasnt my first grow . the 65 plants was my 4 th time or so indoors. i been doing this for 15 years outdoors just never owned my own house till now.....'

why the fuck do people think its so hard to get 4 fuckin oz off a plant...its not hard..i probably wouldnt bother growing if i was only getting 1 oz per plant...unless i just flowered clones right away then an oz would be good.

theres no reason why if your vegging a plant for over a month and using over a thousand watts hps plus tons of floros, and good soil and nutes, theres no reason youd be pulling less than 3 off a plant. well depending on the strain i guess.
as far as pics. i have the pics till about half way through. then my pc shit the bed, i lost a lot of the pics. and i was working on the plants so frikkin much that towards the end i didnt have the time to do all the posting and shit i did in the beggining.

i have pics in my journal till about half way through..
if someone doesnt beleive ive gotten 4 plus off a plant, what do i care...i dont do this for any reason besides i love to garden and i love to smoke. i was giving oz away for 100$ to my friends and they were lovin it.

i just bough a hydro set up and have a whole mess of seeds comin any day now. this time im gonna post a journal. you can check it out whenever you want. if i dont do as i say i do then your free to rip me up on the thread.
ill be staying with soiless mix since i only bought 1 dwc 5 gallon bucket just to learn on
