No nutrients

A plant needs nutrients.. its clearly had nutrients in the soil. I dont really understand this.. its like trying to raise a new born and not feed it.. it will just die. A plant needs to nutrients to survive.. im confused. Are you just saying, you want to see what happens if you grow it in some soil (with nutes) and not feed anything additional? I dont get it man.. like.. why? All you are determining is how many nutee are in the medium.. once your plant starts dying, you can say.. welp.. guess she used up all the nutes! Are you just lazy? How long well she last in some soil.. hmmm .. i dont get it lol
Nah.... nothing like that. Nothing really to get. Just wanted to see if my plant would grow with just soil & water and nothing else. I used some cheap soil from Family Dollar and just gave ph water.Right now we're 74 days in from seed. We can see she's in flower, I was really just wondering why the calyxes haven't started swelling yet. I get the point of anything will grow, just won't grow big & strong without proper nutrition (nutes). Just wanted some feedback. ✊

but at the same time I wonder why so many people PH their water in soil. Especially when there are natural solutions to correct a PH issue that are much more beneficial to the plant with mycorrhizal fungi being the best.
Because if you feed your plants with liquids which are already at the correct ph range for the plant, you save your microbes a lot of work, so they can focus on other things such as soil and plant health. Additionally putting liquids which are way out of range can hurt the same micro-herd which you are hoping will the ph for you.
