no stretch in 12/12

okay im rounding day 7 since switching to 12/12 and ive had no stretch only on one its grown about an inch if that. flowerd one at 10" the other at 11" under 400 watt hps. had 4 but 2 were males so i chopped them. now im down to these two plants and there alot smaller than i was told they would get. is having these two under the 400 a waste of energy i was kinda hopeing they would be bigger around 2 1/2 3ft when done with the stretch but by the looks of things ill be lucky if they make it to 12"

one is an afgan clone other is just bag seed did alot of lst in veg

Stretch is strain dependent. Usually takes more than a week though so have a little patience. It's only a waste if you don't need the bud.

so you dont think 400 is to much for the 2 plants figured i could pull about 6 ozs from the two considering that is what i was getting from 2 under a lil over 400 watts of cfl

I run one plant at a time and I flower under a 400w light. I normally pull 6-8 oz's running her in a dwc, 4 weeks veg from a clone. I personally would bend the plant over (LST) in order to get more top bud sites. I top the shit out of mine during the veg cycle. I try and get as many tops as i can.

i did alot of lst both plants have about 15 or more tops if i didnt these plants would be alot taller

the afghan is nearly pure indica if not 100% so you're not going to get much stretch out of it imo.. sativa dom or all sativa's will give much more of a stretch in flower then indica's, so that's why you're not getting too large of a stretch imo.

it could still stretch a bit imo as 7 days is still pretty early in flower, but even if it does, it shouldn't be all that extreme..

thanks do you think these plants could yield good trying to get 4 ozs at least more would be better tho

yeah, they look pretty healthy with lots of tops, do you mean four zips total or two per plant? i could see four total, not sure about four per though, but you never know till the fat lady sings imo..

nah just wanted to get 2 per plant at least 4 total would be fine with me just need enough to get me through another grow
