Noise gets loud 2 seconds after you turn it on... Doesn't sound like its scraping on anything, does anyone have any tips or where to start??

good question, you need to take it apart to see whats realy going on. it could be something as simple as a two part seperated needing only glue to fix or something much orse. try looking up the scimatics for your fan and see what there site says about it. sorry i cant be more help.
you may find it best to buy a new one, but exhaust all avenues first. good luck

may be of some use not sure
My motor model number is 99080602 I found one of them, but my amps are .8 and this one on ebay is like .28 which doesn't make sense its the same model number... I'm seeing a lot of model numbers the same, but with an S in front of it. Wonder what that means?

I'm wondering if I can just get a whole new setup as long as I have those computer plug like things and not the electrical cord??

A bit of oil or grease in/on the bearing would certainly help.
I get through a lot oscillating fans they usually cease up, sometimes I can open them oil the bearings and get another couple of months out of them.
You can pick up a quality 2nd hand fan from ebay/hydro shops for very little money bathroom fans aren't ideal.

The motors generally use bronze bushings which can get gummed-up over time. If you can get the armature out you can clean the shaft (if it's not too worn) and bushings with light oil like that used for sewing machines, then use a cotton swab soaked in light oil to re-impregnate the bushings with oil. Let it sit overnight, then use a clean dry swab to dry the bushings before putting everything back together. Don't use grease- it will gall the shaft and bushing in time

I just went through this with my laundry room fan except it wouldn't run because it was so gummed up. I pulled the motor assembly out, disassembled it, cleaned everything, oiled it, replaced it, and it works like new. I was fortunate that the actual motor could be disassembled. Some are sealed up without screws to take them apart.

Good luck.
