build a box around the fans that is lined with acoustic foam/eggcrate foam. isolate the mounts for the fans (don't screw directly to wall). or get a fan speed controller and dial them down a bit.
they also make duct mufflers.

The noise is from the air rushing through the ducting mostly and some from the fan itself. You could use insulated ducting for the wind noise and a muffler as for the fan you can wrap it with dynamat or similar material.

another thing to try is to turn one fan on before the other so it has time to get up to speed. it can sometimes cancel any bad harmonics caused by both fans starting up at the same time and getting a weird pressure harmonic that goes up and down in volume kinda like: (WAAAAA..ooooooo...AAAAA....oooooo is the best way I can describe it)

Maybe you can get some potentiometer dials to turn the speed down, or see if one fan is enough. What is the cfm rating of your fans? What size room are you in?

Hi macca before i bought my Inline Fan i was really close to buying a Can 6" inline fan, now they are good and powerful but then i saw a youtube vid of a guyz grow tent and man i couldnt even hear the man it was so loud. so i did sum research and found S&P Inline fan,Sure they might not be as strong but they are really quite and add insulated ducting and it gets even better. Check them out. http://www.hvacquick.com/products/residential/Bathroom-Ventilation/Remote-Fans-for-Bath/SP-TD-Series-Inline-Fans

If i were u i will buy the TD-250 with insulated ducting and maybe a duct booster fan since ur gonna connect it to more lights.

These are what I am talking about: http://www.horticulturesource.com/product_info.php?products_id=5044

Also, as I understand it, the inline fans (not the flimsy booster fans) should be at the end of the line (or near it) for exhaust. meaning, you want them sucking through the vent hose, not blowing into it. If you are using 2 fans, they should be on separate ventilation paths. I might be wrong, but this is the wisdom shared with me by my local shop owner.

I have a 6" fan which is pretty beefy by itself. I had to get the switch linked above to make the noise tolerable. I have 2 400watt lights, and 1/4 speed is plenty for me for now.
