Well long story short, im a college student trying to grow enough to tide myself over for the year and make some profit on the side with some close friends. i'm in the process of setting up my outdoor guerilla grow for next year. I figure drying wont be a big deal, i have that figured out. but I would like to harvest before i leave for school. I guess im just looking for people who may have had the same situation and some insight? i dont really want to do autos because of the lower yields, but maybe thats what i'll have to do? Let me know what you think.

Thanks, and as always happy toking

Green Poison from Sweet seeds take a look on attitude, I am also a college student growing this summer. I got this strain free when I placed my order but I have read up on it and apparently it can flower in just 7weeks.

Hard to offer any real advice without knowing your general location. Climate will dictate if anything other then auto flower is even possible within your time frame.

Here are two auto's that go from seed to harvest in 10 weeks:

Lemon Skunk Auto - http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=687

Blueberry Auto - http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/lowlife-seeds/lowlife-automatic-blueberry/prod_772.html

You could seed out a few plants, and still have plenty for smoke, and harvest in 2 1/2 months.

Then turn around with the seeds that you harvested and replant them and get a second harvest in by the time you go back to school.

Both the above strains offer very potent bud, and if you're willing to plant a lot of seeds, you could also reap a nice yield.

Great post. I'm also looking into some earlier finishing strains for next year because of wet fall weather we tend to have where I live. Had to harvest about 7-10 days earlier than I would have liked because of mold.

I grew a single plant this summer called Ceres Purple that did awesome. Started flowering 3rd or 4th week of July and finished last week of september. It didn't turn purple for me, but the plant was my best by far. It's definitely on my list for next year.

Ceres Orange Bud. Finishes in less than 7 weeks under good conditions. Harvest mid to late September. Its a great all rounder. One of my personal favorites.

Ak48 was fast as they said.

I heard the fastet best is the Iranian Short season. (they are not a auto, just realy photo sensitve.)

Seen grows where they veged to 3 ft by april, put em oudoors an harvested a pound each in July!!
BIG weight an super potent they keep reopring in outdoor grow journals.

Mixing anything with Iranian will make it finnish weeks earlier.
Affropips makes an Iranian x blue berry now.

Also you can clone her no problem or cut the flowers off her an reveg her for a 2nd harvest in oct.

I HAVE TO TRY THIS NEXT YEAR OUTDOORS!

That's cool I'll have to put that one down too. I'm pretty happy with Ceres Seed after doing that Purple this summer. It took a little longer than 50-60 days like the description says, but they were right when they said it would finish early October (late September actually.

Do you have much experience with Orange Bud? I think I was looking into it before and shyed away because the description make it seem like it isn't very potent.

Lots of experience. Both indoors and out. Top, LST, FEM and cloning its all good with this strain. Easily controlled indoors and can get huge outdoors, 8ft+ and almost as wide. Nute tollerant for the novice. The buzz is mellow and in the body, but its a strong mellow and not dissapointing by no means.

haha sonar i think i saw your grow journal because ive definately seen those dank pics. id hate to pry too much but where "about" would you say you "might" live. Im in the midwest and i know purple would work for me im just curious what your climates like. but as far as precipitation i couldve planted just about anything which is weird. by now i should be walking through a foot of snow and its actually ridiculously nice out, i wore shorts to class along with like 75% of the population here.

next question- do you guys all just buy fem seeds? cause i thought about buying one regular seed (hoping for a male) and trying to get my own seeds with some good traits for the next year. just freeze them over winter. if you have any experience or tips or anything please post

Follow this link http://en.seedfinder.eu/database/strains/

Click on each number and letter of the alphabet and scroll down the list of strains for each number or letter. To the right of the screen you will see the breeder name and then a star that will be all green, all brown or some combination. That will tell you if it is sativa, indica or mostly sativa or mostly indica. Next to that will be a symbol for it being an indoor strain, an outdoor strain or both. Next will be a number. That is the breeders claim for number of flowering days.

Any you see that light you up click on the strain name and you will find the breeders description. If you scroll down if the seeds are available somewhere it will show you were they can be purchased. If you scroll farther you will find the lineage information for the strain. In some cases there are reports of medicinal uses and grow reports that will tell you if it is disease and insect resistant or a heavy or light feeder if it yields well or not, etc.

There are 2,410 strains, some knockoffs that share the same name, 2,155 of them from 145 established breeders.

Good luck ... happy hunting.
