Hey everyone, how long should I go without watering my plants before harvest. Also is there another way to tell if your plants are ready for harvest besides magnification, I have a 30x jewelers magnifier. I can see the trichomes but I cant make out the phase their in or the color. They look clear as of yet, but its hard to tell.

Thanks, Dewbie Newbie.

You can look at the whole mass of the flower cluster, You can see large groups of Trichromes on the leaves and buds. the amount of pistols that are dried up is another indicator.
Bud swelling.

As for not watering before harvest. IMO- you don't want the plant to dry. You want it to take 4-7 days to dry out. If it drys to fast it won't smell the best.

Good Luck on Your Grow.

With that 30x loupe you should be able to see the difference between clear trichomes ( looking like ice ) and cloudy ( looking like milky water ).

As for watering, yeah, what he said, don't starve your plant of water, but always don't water the night before you chop. If you are planning to chop on a Saturday, make Monday your last watering ( as an example ).
