I know for a fact that Foxfarm, when used as recommended by the feeding chart (foxfarms.com), yields decent results. Granted you could get better yields with other nutes, but your margin for error decreases substantially. Throw in some Nitronex and SuperThrive in the mix and they'll love it. Yes FF might not be 100% organic, because the salts are obviously taken from non-living organisms, just make sure to give a good flush at the end. I added worm castings and some coco coir to the Ocean Forest and had amazingly lush plants in veg. Maybe try using Roots Organics new potting soil that comes all mixed up, $15 a bag (gets you 2 5gal pots plus a little to spare).
