Yea, just a plain matte finish, my grow is small due to space so I went to staples and bought some poster boards (nice heavy ones ) make sure it's matte finish, not gloss, surrounded my plants and it works great.

Yes I'm a hydro man, I find soil to be too slow and sometimes causes more problems than none.

I'll have to try it one day ;-) Are you using hps?
I have a 250w hps and ive seen dual spectrum bulbs, would they save the hassle of switching bulbs for veg +flower? What would you suggest, dual or seperate bulbs?

what if!!! you have a perpetual going on, and your flower room is divided in two stages, first month, and second month (give or take). the first month has a 600 watt hps, and the second month (late stage flowering) i bump the lights up to 1200 watts... does the 1g/w "rule" apply to the 600 watts, or the 1200? or is it the average of the two?????? 900 watts... or!!!! is it mainly dependent on the amount of space you have filled that's covered in light. idk. interesting, but i recently started growing and i've only been getting a little more than 500gms or so in a 3 x 6 ft area (for each stage of flowering). that's 2m squared. so i should be getting upwards of at least a lb/m squared..... i think it's more dependent on the amount of space you have filled in with buds, than the actual amount of light you're using. anyway, started rambling... sorry.

Due to my grow space I'm limited to T5's but have good success. Years ago I used MH and HPS lamps and yes they are the best. Never tried dual spectrum lamps and Can't comment on them.
