Firstly I'm very new to the forums, but for the past 8 hours I've been reading about growing marijuana indoors and I've grown very fond of the idea of doing so, mainly because I dont get to smoke that often due to extremely low budget. So I thought I might aswell try growing my own product so I dont have to keep waiting for so long to have my next hit. For my first few grows though I'm not planning to have a massive harvest, they will be used more as an experiment and help me get used to how the plants grow etc. But I have a couple of questions that I need cleared up before I begin.

  • If I vegetated for 2 weeks then flowered for 2 weeks, would it be effective enough to get a small yield at the end of it?
  • And if I did use the above method could I do the same thing with clones, but let the mother grow out and end up cloning a clone?
  • When growing the marijuana, could I go out into my backyard and look for a nice green patch of grass and use that soil without using nutrients when watering?
  • If I bought some real good quality soil instead, when watering do I HAVE to use nutrients? I'm not too fussed about the outcome, aslong as it doesn't make it unsmokeable of coarse ahahah.
  • I only have one globe at the moment and I'm pretty sure it has a blue tone to it, is it really necessary to have the blue and red tones when growing? or can I just stick to the one?
As mentioned I'm not too fussed about quality nor quantity of the yield and I'm on a tight budget. I'm not entirely fussed about how much I get by harvesting every month, I'd be happy with half or even quarter of an ounce ahahah.

I hope these questions made sence, as It's now 9:16 am where I am and I haven't slept in almost 24 hours. But ey, it's for pot so it's worth it ahahah.

You need to flower for at least 8 weeks. I don't know what the hell a globe is? a light? What type of light is it?
My main advice is keep reading, you have a lot to learn and it is all on this forum.

First, educate yourself. Trying to improvise a grow with little cash will otherwise, be an exercise in futility.
Sure, you can improvise, and find cheap lighting, pots soil etc, but if you don't set it up right to begin with, and the basic knowledge of cannabis cultivation, you'll likely struggle, and possibly fail. I have found out after growing indoors for 25 years, failure is more expensive then preparation.
