Noob trying to VAPE!!!

Whats up RIU, I am BKB and I have never used a Vaporizer in my life. This is a Phantom Digital Aromatherapy. I search on line for a operating manual and cant find nothing. There was no Instruction Booklet just a how to put it together page. I tried it out and wasnt sure if I was doing it correctly. What are good temps for vaping bud. I got some Sour Diesel and Northern Lights I want to vape. Can I put hash or keif in the cooking chamber?

Any help on vaping bud please feel free to post. Also I would like to see your Vaporizers in action so post some pics of your Vapes!!!!

i'm not sure of this particular vaporizer but it looks a lot like a digital volcano. they used to make a custom piece for extracts that was like a little suspended dish so that it wouldn't drip down into the vaporizer. not sure if this is the case, perhaps it came with something of this nature? if not, macgyver that shit.

Nothing suspended. It has a chamber to put grinded bud in and then it goes on top the heat coils or whatever that is. Then after it hits the temps I put the bag over it but it doesnt look like smoke or feel like I am hitting it hard, I taste something but dont know if I am getting anything out of it.

I use my volcano I think around 363...

you should see a very light looking cloud in the bag... not very dense at all..

I have an Arizer vap and have it set at 210 and I only use the whip and never a fan. since hot air rises you just give a little toke on the end of the whip and you will have it primed and ready to go in no time.

Im going to do one now and take some pics.....give me a few!

dont look for a cloud, that means its too high of a temp. it will take somet ime to get it right, 210 is perfect for me

Heres the instruction side that came with my volcano-




Again, this is for the volcano solid valve but the basics are the same. My advice would be to turn that up another 20 to about 370 then try it again. It all varies: how much herb, how strong the herb, how big the bag, what temp... The overall effect is influenced by all factors. Just keep trying different variations and youll get it.

yeah man, you can regulate how much is vap'd by turning it up or down. 350 will get you more bags with less vap smoke in each one, 370 will give you less bags with more vap smoke in each bag. you will get hi either way.

i use an extreme vap got it bout 1 an a 1/2 yr ago used for about 8 months
been mostly out of use ever since
i like to use it whenmy son is home harly any smell


but it goes like dis all vaps diff i use my at about 4oo goes up to 5oobut just cooking yo shit up
vap gives you a light hit its better for yo lungs but almost like tellin a camel smoker to smoke a morlborro
gona say im not getin nutin

mine came wit a bag i was doing two bags at atime den realized they were oven stuffer roaster bags
so i went lukn for one for turkeys -now i do one big bag when i use it

you get a good taste of the herb
you dont get that bang that hit that overhand right -that knock out punch -not gona happen

i put my vap up about 6 months ago
an went back to joints bongs glass bowls an shit

when bag is filled wit smoke it gets a light cloudy gray color
once herbs stop smokin dump an replace

i like to fill container for material exact amount to fill the bag
will learn the amount in time

reason being when i stop to smoke bag and go gack all cooked to ash cinder garbage
dump an reload time

i find it cumbersum
time consumin when you want a hit -gotta wait for temp
an alittle on the wastful side

if you like me you will play wit it get it right use for awhile den set on da side

Thanks everyone for the input.....I guess its a matter of finding the Vape's sweet spot. I do find myself burning through bud more than smoking out of a Bong or pipe. It is time consuming but I do notice a totally different taste than smoking. Yea it a lot easier on my lungs. I guess you sum'd it all up for me D....no over hand punch. I am so used to getting blasted by a bong that I feel I'm not getting anything when using the Vape. I am going to have to put this thing away till I harvest some buds so I can test it at different temps n find my Vape's sweet spot.
