Noob with a sex question

Hello everyone.
I know, I know- not this question again.

New to the forum and the grow thing.
I've been reading posts on this site since the woman decided to germ a few seeds roughly 8 weeks ago- I can't seem to tear myself away from the extensive amount of info available on this site.
This is a bagseed grow and pretty much a trial run to gain some experience and knowledge before attempting the good stuff.

Anyway, I have a reasonably large Sativa plant that is starting to flower and it is undoubtedly a female.
The other plant I have is a short, stinky skunk plant. Both plants are 10 days into 12/12 ( I know this isn't always long enough to determine sex). As I mentioned, the Sativa is already starting to flower pretty heavily, but this skunk plant is not showing signs of being female yet. I realize that some strains can take longer than others to show sex. I thought I may have seen 2 small balls on the skunk in the topmost node, but the wife insists she doesn't see them. I attempted to take pics but couldn't get the camera to show these since they are small.

I would appreciate any input about the following picture since I really don't wish to pollenate the female.
If it hasn't been long enough to determine sex, fine- please say so. If I am an idiot for asking this question, apologies in advance. My biggest concern is the lack of white hairs and I just want to avoid a rookie mistake, if possible. I didn't include any info about my growing conditions but if it is needed to answer my question, let me know.
Thanks.

Thanks a lot for the responses.

My camera sucks but I tried to get a closer pic as requested. Unfortunately, this is as close as I can get without jacking my focus. I think I may have caught the area that caused me to question whether this plant is male or not. There aren't really any other spots that I've noticed this type of "lump".

Thanks again for helping the new guy out- I appreciate it.

Looks male to me... sorry bro
Thanks for your opinion BF. If it's a male, no biggie...bagseed is cheap.
Another question for you if you don't mind.
This question will really show my lack of knowledge and experience, but I have to ask or I won't learn anything.
I am doing a closet grow and if the plant is indeed male and pollenates, am I screwed for future grows in this closet?
Once it has been suggested by several people (no offense to you) that this is indeed a male, it will be executed in a timely manner and hopefully won't pollenate. Should I see more of these balls show up before pollenation, or could it spew at any time?
Sorry for all the questions bro, but I do appreciate your advice.

any cleaning product will get rid of pollen just fine. Also it looks like it still has a good week or so before popping

looks male to me. but a few more pics would make me sure. is there hair coming out of those little nubs? if not they are male. if they have a sort of neck with a head on it, then they are pollin sacs. if they have hairs coming out of them they are female.
you will see many more balls like that pop up. lots before they pollinate. i have a male plant right now in my house, as soon as i was able to tell it was male, i just vegged it again and i have it in my room by the window. i'm just gonna let it get all huge as an ornament.

Thanks BF- Reps for ya.

JW30- I can't really produce pics of anything truly helpful. Pic1 is a different part of the plant and pic2 is the very top which probably helps nada. The 3rd pic is the fem which has the obvious white hairs. The fact that I see ZERO of the hairs on the skunk was the primary concern and reason for my post.
Thanks for the help.

Anyone please correct me if I am wrong but you should have at least a good week before a male would pollinate. By that time your should surley be able to tell if it is a male or female. Good luck with your grow.

Yep, and yep.........I'm pretty sure it's a male, but you have time before it matters........maybe a week or even two........you'll know without doubt before a flower opens.......look for grape-like clusters or that ball about dead center of the pic to start pushing away from the stem.........Most will then hang down looking like a banana, then split into a tiny yellow flower......at that instance, if you're watching, you'll see the poof of pollen....then you're gonna be a grandpa....lol I won't swear to it but I think all it takes is a wash down to destroy pollen.......I've had hermis and actually never even washed it down(don't be lazy like me!!) and after that batch was removed never had a single seed.........I've had people tell me they found one, but they never seem to hold on to it for me......I've never found one......

I will say it's odd to me that the smaller would go male...It's always been my tallest, best looking plants that were boys... Anyway, just keep an eye on it....You'll know, I'm sure of it...... And congrats on the girl !!!!

you will have plenty of time when yu sex a male before pollination. Weeks and weeks and there will be big! bannana shaped clusters of little balls. You can let him flower for a long time till they are several inches big until a ball will open. I grew a male full term for pollen once. After they open what a mess! Spray water to control. Not worth it for any grower to keep. Let him go so yu can see for a while, they grow awesome, I cried he was not a she. lol. But not too long. GL
