hello, 1st time poster, and grower(soon) been doing a bunch of reading. just had a few questions i cant seem to answer. sorry if you guys have answered these ?'s more than a few times.

1. ive been trolling the intrawebs and i havent been able to find conclusive answer. when u germ a seed and it pops, u xfer it to rockwool cube. my question is when roots pop thru bottom of cube, and you xfer cube to hydroton rocks do you leave the cube and just put rocks around it? at what point to u remove the cube?

2. can you grow differ strains of autos all together? or should i grow 1 strain at a time? i picked up a few female autos, this is my first grow and i read these are more forgiving to noobs.
-these r the 4 i picked up. no particular order.
1. Easy Ryder (ak47 x LR2)
2. LR2
3. Sagamartha Smurfberry (not sure on the cross)
4. Sagamartha Double Diesel Ryder (dunno) think LR x diesel x diesel

3. how often is pH checked? how often is water checked for solvents, temp, nutes, etc.

Just put the rocks around it.

Yes you can grow different strains together. I would just grow one to start. Nute requirements, temp, humidity, etc. can very between strains.

3. how often is pH checked? how often is water checked for solvents, temp, nutes, etc.
I check the pH twice a day. Temp every couple of days.

@orzz thanks bud. ill prolly just do 1 strain then at first. i was concerned about the same thing, that each strain would react different to nutes, an stuff.

@marvin sweet man that had been bugging the crap outta me for a while. couldnt find online, maybe just bad searcher... thanks again.

orzz pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Growing multiple strains is not a preffered method for a new grower.

I've always put the rooted rockwool clone directly in soil and grown outdoors. Never had a problem and wouldn't wantto chance disturbing the roots by removing it.

You can grow multiple strains together, but they will very likely reach peak maturation at very different times. So you'll want to keep on eye on them and harvest them at the correct times.

couple quick questions.

1. what do you guys recommend i use to glue down the air stones in the tub? I tried this epoxy from wal-mart. it seemed to stick well but after it was completely dry, i bumped it against the wall and they both popped off.

2. got a humidity dome and seedling warmer. i was wondering if i can lay a the warmer on a towel or should i place it on the tile floor? i dont wanna set my house on fire.

thanks again for all the info/help. very much appreciated. im almost done gathering all the components. gonna start on some bag seed as practice.

To hold down air stones, try some rocks(clean would be good).

I doubt the warmer gets anywhere near hot enough to ignite cloth. Check the packaging/instructions to be safe.

this is true, but youll find your biggest problem is that different strains thrive at different temperatures, ph, and nutrient mixes. It is prefferable to grow only one or two strains at a time so that you dont spend enourmous amounts of time mixing different nutrients solutions to different ph's and such.

here is a good thread on ph and picking multiple strains.
