Noobs first grow

Hello all, Multi decade stoner with little or no grow ability seeks guidance and advice, as well as constructive critique.... I paid way to much for a all in one grow package and immediately regretted the purchase. The company shall remain nameless. I opted for LED, 2x 90w 3 band 7.1.1 RBO. I used the LED's for veg with great results, but I'm going to go with a 400w HPS cooltube for flower, which is where the story begins.... This strain is a dusted off, back of the drawer bean from god knows where....But with this being my maiden grow, who gives a shit. I am basically experimenting with this. If I get some sticky, sick bud, all the better. Started with a 7 day seedling, 28 days veg, 7 days into flower. The thing is a BUSH! After 28 days, she was only 11" tall, but almost 15" across. I HAVE NOT trimmed anything off it...I wish I had as already in the 12/12, the things has grown to 16" tall and almost 20" across. Should I trim, fim, top, LST, supercrop or just let er rip, space is a concern due to the depth of the cab.......

10Gal DWC with 2 15" air stones
Nutes: GH FloraNova, GH FloraBlend Vegan Tea, and Ton O Bud, ( I started 1/4 dose of TOB, and will increase to full strength by months end)
PPM 1150-1200
PH 5.8
Rez Temps 63-68F
Cab Temp 72-82
RH 40%

A special shout out to my RIU mentor, Chickengutz He taught me so muchDay 7 Flower (2).jpg already! And an advanced thank you for all the comments, suggestions, and critisism I'm sure you all will share with me!!

I'm not sure why you would refer to yourself as a noob. You obviously got it right. I would leave as much as possible but I am someone ho likes to keep a lot of the smaller buds and train them towards the light. Looks absolutely amazing. I would have no worries buying seeds/clones if I were you. If you are really new to it, I suggest getting some cloning materials and try cloning some of the smaller branches just for experience. It's quite easy and i'm sure you will find that process fun :)

Sorry for the stagnated journal....Just hit Day 21 of flower. Survived Hurricane Irene, no power for 24 hrs. Plant originally started under 2 90 watt LED, switched to 400 MPS 2 weeks ago. I hope it will finish up nicely. I did clean out some lower growth about 1 week ago and TRIED to tie the main cola down for even light distribution. As CHASMTZ suggested, I took 3 cuttings from the lower growth, all have rooted heavily and after 1 week veg, thrown into 12/12. (Clones came off the Mother after flower so pistils were showing during the light veg period. These should be much more managable and I'm gonna scrog these 3 in the 4x4x7 tent. I just started germing 3 beans of Barneys Feminized Pineapple Chunk, and 3 beans of Nirvana Feminized Blue Mystic, all from Herbies. They should pop under my humidity dome anyday. Gonna SLOOOOOOOOOOW veg them under a 26 watt CFL and scrog them after the 3 clones have finished.

16Gal DWC with tap water from well 125PPM w/ 6.3 PH out the spigot
400w HPS with 6" inline fan for cooling, dumped into grow room where it's carbon scrubbed w/ozonator for odor control
Rez temps 64-68 F with 5.7 PH
Tent temps 75-77F w/ 46% RH
Ambient Room temps 74F
Nutes are a solid 1550 PPM with GH FloraNova Bloom, GH FloraBlend Tea for micronutes and Ton-O-Bud 0-49-31 flower booster

The tallest part of the plant is now 42" is roughly 32" wide.

Here are some updated Pictures.....Comments and critiques welcome!!

Thanks Chasmtz, I have definately done my homework. RIU member Chickengutz really stepped up, befriending me as soon as I joined, and helped me immensly! I already cloned 3 cuttings and they are doing well. I used Olivia's Cloning Gel. They seemed to take forever to root. Of course when we went on a mini 5 day vacation, they exploded with growth. My niece was house sitting and "Babysitting" the plant and clones, she called me and said the clones were touching the top of the humidity dome! I only vegged them for a few days and threw them into a 12/12 cycle. They were taken from the Mother after she went female, so even at 12-13" tall they have tons of white hairs. Gonna mini scrog em. Thanks for the compliment and advice friend!

Thanks Widow, I may not have a huge budget for this first grow, but, the knowledge and understanding the science of growing weed is free and easily accessible on RIU by you veteran growers. KUDOS to you all!!!

As a "novice" grower, I should probably physically write down info......:wall: My wife and I crunched the calender and, considering the flowering period starts AFTER the plant has shown its sex, have figured we are only at Day 19 (today) of flowering. Did someone say patience????

I am a novice when it comes to indoor. I started keeping a journal by hand and it became a boring task. I didnt update it enough. I think that you have such a good handle on the main concepts that all you need to do is read your plant, it will tell you what it needs, when it needs it. I scrapped my journal for anything other than specific dates like when i put them into flower, when i cut clones for the next group, etc. I hate the waiting game myself. I burned a bowl with my plants just a minute ago. 3 days in my flower room and i have over 2 months to go before im smoking those bitches!

Since lights on this morning, 12 short hrs later and I've noticed major bud formation change. These bud clusters were individual this morning!! Growing into one big bud. I feel like a Dad who just found out he's having triplets!!

Sorry, Only 1 clear picture. I was so excited, the camera was shaking....:leaf:
