Normal RH?

Hey everyone.

I just harvested my PC grow.

They were hung for a day and half . felt dry but sticky. the two RH's devices read about an average of 64%.

I put them in a brown bag for a halfday/day and it stay about the same(60-65%). So i moved them into a jar and in a few hours(6-8hrs) it went to 94%.

I put them in a bag and they read about 64 RH% again and back in to jars. Over night back up to 94%.

Right now i hung em back up in the PC and some in a tray and it reads 64%.

Is this normal or am i doing something wrong?

I guess in a tight jar space the RH would raise but i wouldnt think would get that high. The stems are still bendable; Maybe some more drying but advice would be helpful.

My first grow and i dont want that pesky mold:P

They buds will feel dry and brittle on the outside and still have days even weeks of drying before you should start curing them. RH is only relevant when the ambient temps of the drying area are taken into consideration. How hot is "really hot"?

I dry in 65ish degree temps and 50ish RH. It takes at least a week before I consider jaring them for cure.

Wait until the stem cracks when bent. I know that the buds feel dry before that happens but they are not ready.

A good test is to break off a little bud and roll a joint. If it doesnt stay lit, its not dry enough. Try it.

Weeks long dry? Dry and brittle with snapping stems before even jarring? Sounds like you like some crumbly ancient sea scroll weed :) I like mine with a little give when you squeeze it
