what's the price per yard?
i don't like that they don't tell you whats in it...
where is it from?
its hella expensive, $140/yard or so. its local, thats why I am considering using it over TGA charger packs.
420 Blend Ingredients
Organic Base
Peat Moss
LignaPeat
Perlite
Lava
Oyster Shell
Peruvian Seabird Guano
Greensand
Bloodmeal
Bonemeal
Dolomite
Trace Minerals
Here's the "charge" to our mix:
Potassium Nitrate
Triple Super Phosphate
Iron Sulphate
Calcium Nitrate
Nitroform

The super charged part totally killed it for me.

Why use organic amendments that need to be cycled by soil microbes and then add chemical fertilizers that harm soil microbiology and bypass nutrient cycling? Doesn't make sense to me

Has anyone tried this stuff yet?

I'm curious about it because it's available by the yard near where I live.

Sounds like a few of you guys live in my area, any suggestions on a best "bang for the buck" soil in the 707? I think I'm going to need about a yard.

SenorBrownWater, care to share the what/where on your local coco mix?

I just met a rep from that company and received two sample bags. I am doing a side by side With 707 roots organic blend, my normal soil. The 420 blend is a hot mix of soil which does not require nutrients for the first month. The company has been around for 40yrs+ I believe. I will let you know tomorrow when I transplant into 420 blend.

Cool. Would love to hear what you think.

I kinda wish they wouldn't add the fertilizer to it. I'd rather control that myself, but it could work well.

They actually have. It's called the Pro Growers mix and it uses Coco instead of Peat. No fertz and PH balanced.

The website has more info http://www.northcountybounty.com/
I've seen that stuff around, but only by the bag. The 420 mix is available by the yard which is nice. I actually used the 420 mix this year, I mixed it in with some other soil and a few of my own goodies. I grew one plant in the 420 mix alone and it performed great. It didn't blow me away or anything but it did just as well as my other soils.

Whatever fertilizer they "charge" the soil with must be mild because I threw a small plant into it straight and started pouring maxsea on it right away, the plant didn't even flinch. She just grew really fast.

Results of using this mix, amended slightly, were great. Good yield, plenty of nutrients in the soil, great flavors. Will post pic asap. All I "fed" was calmag and seaweed.

Thought I would bring this thread back up. I got to try the soil. I really liked it. I did have to add some calmag in flower. using ro water, and added some photoplus(microbes) a couple times. Yeild was decent 1 1/2 oz of top nugs in a 2gal pot filled 3/4 the way. super frosty and had a amazing terp profile. and I used one of my reliable strains that I have been growing for over a couple years now. my pc acting a fool not letting post a pic. ill try and edit it in a bit or post one.. lol just noticed in outdoor sec, my plant was inside.
