Northeast Growers Thread. Show Em' We're Here.Northeast

What's up people? This is my first season growing (southeastern Mass) and it's going great. I've been waiting for a thread to interact with and this seems right up my alley. I can't post pics now but will try when I get on my main computer tomorrow. Would love to hear what everyone thinks about my plants and give some insight/suggestions.

Happy growing.

PS I haven't had any problems with slugs all season and just a few minutes before I read this thread I moved a plant (they're all in pots) and found five slugs underneath. I threw them on the hot pavement and cooked them.

Various strains. The hanging pics are Big Bang and the outdoor plant is Motavation.

i said i was gonna come, jeez. j/k. i think maybe enough people haven't went back to the original thread to get the link to this one. give them time. so heres what's up. i got me a fancy ghetto grow. by that i mean i got a nice light and a busted closet setup but this shit WORKS. I just started this grow. barneys farm red diesel and mandala satori from seed. started them under cfls/t5s and a tt96 veg bulb 24 hrs till today (day 17). in the meantime i rigged my 400w hps for later use (now) in the same closet. i've had some ph issues already due to some tainted water, but they will overcome. i don't have dough for an inline fan so i got an 8 inch vornado desk fan. i rigged it with some venetian blind cord, a pulley, a cable tie wrap, and some hooks. (i did this by myself in a crowded closet with plants and lights and wires everywhere and no one will ever understand the hell). anyway, i rigged the exhaust duct to go out the top of the closet. I leave the door open 2 inches to vent. (the closet is in a spare room that i can keep dark in flower, light leaks not an issue). the friggin temps run 15 degrees cooler with the damn hps than the floros! I transplanted my plants today also. I included some pics to catch everyone up with where i am right now.
i like your mcgyver skills... very nice with vortex fan to cool lamp... nice!

(edit) also anyone doing any hash? any reason why it is so damn hard to find out here??? i seems like no one ever has any, and then boom, it's everywhere...

Ok so I have been moving my plants around looking for the perfect place/ box etc... Well yesterday I decided to build a final resting place for the girls. I started with a 5x5 room and got paranoid and blah blah blah... Now I am in a 2x4 box with 36" of growing room. I used a piece of tempered glss to seperate the plants from the light to help control het and it working great. I lined it in IKO reflectashield 1/2" reflective foam board (amazing stuff and only $13 per 4x8 sheet). I have 2 pc fans venting the top through a DIY carbon filter and an air purifier feeding the grow chamber. The grow chamber vents throught the top so the combination of the purifier pushing and the pc fans pulling keeps my box pretty consistently 70 degrees with lights on. Pics of the box and the girls below. The oldest ones are 14-18" (bag seed) and the smallest ones are GHS Big Bang (black pots) and Skunkman's Haze x Skunk1 (cups).

big v, you had a lot of success w/ those jiffy peat pellets? i really like the root riot plugs both for cloning as well as as seed starting... nice looking grow... rep the ne!

Thanks man! I know they pale in comparison to what is here but for an amateur with just quality sun and ingrediants I appreciate what I get. I'm setting up for a winter grow, waiting on my light but the tent, therm, most fans, and widow seeds are in place!

i'm just growing good bag weed this year although i do have 1 kush.. i grew one trainwreck earlier and crossed it with some kush pollen i collected. seeds for next year. next year i try growing the good stuff......... thanks for the good words..........

that's awesome. i used to window grow before i got my indoor setup and i had great results with crappy genetics. it's the best of both worlds-real sun/indoor conditions. if i had the privacy to grow outside i would be dangerous. can't even use the sill for fun anymore because of my cat. that looks real nice though.

Thanks Total Head, I've got my grandmothers greenthumb and have put it to good use the last few years. I've gardened tomatoes, philandendrum, basil, oregano, and assorted flowers. The progression seems like a natural one for me! :joint: I for one am of the mindset that I would rather be the source than guess, too many unfortunate consequences getting the herb here, mexico (cartels), and any other people that mix this wonderful plant with things that destroy peoples lives to make their ends meet. I work hard and only want to provide myself with medicine.
