I would top or LST. you can top anytime over 8 inch tall.

Topping Marijuana- Topping a plant refers to cutting off the top shoot(s) of cannabis plants. You can pinch, clip or snip off the tallest shoots or the freshest shoots. Cut the branch stem just below the last fully developed node,. The plant starts developing branches at the remaining nodes. This is a good techniques to keep a plant short and bushy. Or you can develop many top colas instead of just one. Don't top a plant more than twice and never top when it is in the flowering stage.

Top when there are 6 branches, take the top above the 4th set. so you have 4 tops .
Look up Uncle Bens tops, its easy to find.
Fim at 4-5" . I always fim but might try a uncle bens method of 4 tops.

So Another update.

They're still growing - #1 still has signs of nute burn (do they ever go away, or is it OK as long as it doesn't expand?). I'm going to water today, just straight water, hopefully flushing out the remaining nutes.

I also found a bug flying around - I don't know what it is - but hopefully it was just attracted to the lights. Check the pics - and if you have any ideas, let me know!

I've also moved the lights alot closer to the plants - as per Doc's suggestion. Measured the heights again, but only 1/2" growth or so.

get rid of all insects asap! they will cause you nightmares in the garden... you can try dish soap and water- shaken up and sprayed on soil only. that's only a mild fix. otherwise, you'll need some sort of pesticide if that doesnt do it. make sure entire grow room, closet, wherever your growing is clean. the walls, floor, etc. sterile. and ya, reading this thread https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/151706-uncle-bens-topping-technique-get.html will really help you out. i believe it's the second leaf SET for 4 main colas. but you should def. check out that link..... keep up the good work :)

I killed first, and then asked questions :P Well, I took a picture first, and then killed it - because I wasn't sure how violent I was going to be whilst killing.

Another update!

So I havn't seen any more of those bugs - must've just been attracted by the light. I'll try to keep them out better now. They seem to have slowed a bit in growing - which is annoying, but oh well - hopefully in the next month they'll get to a nice height and I can start flowering.

Here are the heights as of today:

1: 7.75"
2: 6"
3: 4.5
4: 4.5"
5: 2.25"

I'm still not sure what to do about #5, I should probably rip her out - but I don't really want to if I don't have to :(

So, I'm going on vacation for the weekend - I figure I'll just water them a little more than usual, and raise the lights up a bit high, just so that they don't touch the plants. Any other ideas?

So back from vacation - a little update... They don't seem to be progressing much in height - although there is new growth coming from the nodes... is that normal?

1: 7.75"
2: 6.5"
3: 4.5"
4: 4.5"
5: 2.75"

Also, there is another problem, but I don't know what it is - the leaves are drooping - and the 'burning' of the leaves isn't stopping :(

Another little update! They're still on 24/0 of continuous light (mostly daylight CFLs).

They've been growing better the last couple of days, and have seem to have recovered from the under watering - I have to leave again for another few days, so hopefully they wont dry out... :(

1: 9"
2: 7.5"
3: 5.5"
4: 5.5"
5: 3.75"

Any of my girls look like girls yet?

So... I went away, and didn't water them enough before I left :( 3 of the 5 are in really really bad shape, I'm keeping them watered now, and they *seem* to be recovering - instead of curling over at the top, they're back straight... The other two are doing fine though... ARG.[

Do those glass globe things work at all?
