well i got 2 femi's going right now not doing so hot because i dont have enough light. just ordered 400w hps sytem should be here in a week..then well see what these babies can do post pics once i get this going better...just started flowering one of em yesterday with 6 nodes.

I grew a NL X Skunk outdoors last season, from Peak Seeds. The yield was a little low, and the potency wasn't at all what I was expecting, which was disappointing because I really liked dealing with them. Excellent customer service, just not that great a buzz.

Yeah, I tried their skunk too. Good germination rates, but again, fairly low yield and not quite as potent as I'd hoped. The yield may be because they say they specifically breed their strains to be short in stature, thus easier to conceal. I don't think any of my plants went over 4 and a half feet tall. Their prices are so ridiculously low, I suppose you can just buy twice as many seeds and plant twice as many plants if you've got the room, but if that's not possible, you may be disappointed in the size of their plants.

Central Minnesota. And yeah, I was definitely disappointed. I'm trying a different variety of skunk this year, from BC Seedking. We'll see if that does any better.

The length of the season is a problem here, no question about it. And the fact that I'm really not able to get them off to a good start indoors before planting outside doesn't help. The end result is that I can effectively only grown from early May to late September, so while the season does go late enough for most varieties to finish, the veg stage is too short for them to really bulk up. I don't know how much more height i would have gotten out of them, but I might have gotten better bud development if I'd have been able to give them more of a headstart.
I'll be curious to know how yours turn out. Please keep me in mind and let me know, OK? If you remember?

well both skunk and northern lights are very good yeilders so i duno why that fella got a small yeild!plus ive smoked both strains and they gave me proper nice buzz,ive grown northern lights too,always produced big fat colas and nuggets so a cross between the two should be descent,, reckon you wont be disapointed!peace

um...... thats plenty of time to grow n.l. x skunk...... you could plan the end of june and still get over a 1/4lb dry....it's an early finisher.
it also a big yielder, so i dunno what your doin....
maybe you should just take better care of your girls.

Ouch! Well, yeah. That's a fair comment. Truth is, I wasn't able to tend to the skunks and northern skunks as well as i would have liked to. I picked what I though was a pretty darned good spot for that patch, and then on the 1st of June the county suddenly started a major road reconstruction project on my only access road. It made it a lot more difficult to haul in nutes and water, and my overall access was a lot more limited than I would have liked. Construction guys crawling all over the place all day long, and security patrols at night to keep an eye on the equipment. Poor babies had to fend for themselves more than I'd planned.
But still, I don't think I would have gotten much more out of them even if i had been able to take better care of them. Even during the rainy season, when they were getting plenty of water and I was giving them nitrogen-rich nutes, they just didn't get very big. It was a cool early summer, but still, I was expecting a lot more oomph out of 'em during the veg phase. They just never took off. I was surprised, because I've had much better luck with skunks in the past.

there are alot of factors at play in outdoor growing. you should give equal n and k nutes for veg, your root growth is more important in the begining, make sure if you don't bring your own soil you at least take some prelite and vermiculite with you... i plant two-three feet above the water level of drainage and irrigation ditches in corn fields.......
