So here is my thought... would like to begin a network of communication of the folks growing and breeding cannabis in northern MN and WI with the anticipation that MN goes rec legal by 2020-2021. The goal would be to share quality genetics/growing techniques/experiences/etc that would lead to these underground growers being able to make a living in the cannabis industry when it becomes legal... note, I didn't say make a million dollars and head up expansive industrial indoor grow ops of epic proportions... I'm talking about the craft farmers and breeders who care about quality over quantity and can figure out a way to make a living growing cannabis while advancing the plant in our specific region through educated and experienced geographical growing techniques and selective breeding specific to our region.
I've been growing both in and outdoor for almost 10 years and, honestly, have found it difficult to find like-minded folks that aren't in it just to sell a bag.
Organic/sustainable practices only... ideally outdoor or supplemental greenhouse growing...
I know you're out there and understand we've all been forced to lurk in the shadows and be protective of our goods but knowledge and sharing experiences and genetics for better plants, geared specifically to our climate and region is the foundation of success in this new (hopefully legal) adventure in my opinion... anyone interested?

When your state, no matter which one, goes legal you’ll quickly discover that the people with BIG money will have the laws and regulations favoring them. Forget your dream of being unlicensed and unregulated and taking part in the legal market. To refute this please post proof it’s otherwise where you live.

Further some of those rich rat motherfuckers know the ways to turn in black market growers. And they do it. Good luck and keep dreaming.

Lol I don't have any dreams. Monsanto is waiting for federal legalization anyway haha! It was an old thread and I figured if this dudes idea caught traction maybe I could help. I don't have room or time for breeding but I can grow testers in my room.

Most of the limited grows here (AK & 500 square feet of growing space or less) don’t breed at all. In fact many share their seed sources openly on our Facebook cannabis group page. Some of the larger ops do have the time, space and personnel to breed.

The idea is a good one. But the realities change things. I really wish these states could find a way for home growers to be able to legally sell their excess product somehow. Either to a licensed grower or something.

As it is legal growers can legally accept seeds or clones or even grown plants from me even though I’m not licensed. But the second they receive it it’s subject to registry on METRC with tracking done from receiving it to harvesting and selling it.

That's why I ressurected this old thread. I'm not exactly northern MN but I'm close enough for a Sunday drive. Keep me in mind if you find one.
Hi Hank....
Well I've been growing up here in the northwoods for many yrs. I'm completely organic and my methods to say the least are unorthodox to most. Due to the fact that the laws here will bust you for the number of plants you have I learned how to get the most out of each plant. It doesnt matter If they catch you with a small one in a ground or a giant...1 is still 1.
Last season I averaged 5 pounds a plant and planning on doing better next yr.
Took the yr off and decided to do some breeding.
Anyways...I hope more people in the area join or chime in!
