Ok, so I've finally turned in the bottled nutes for organic. I have grown with GH 3 part flora series for years and had good luck, BUT I was sick of dumping my used soiless mix onto the low spots on the lawn. Im planning my new grow using a very simple medium; pro-mix and local vermicompost i picked up for $4 a 50 lb bag. Its mixed about 60/40 pro-mix/compost. Foliar feeding and soil drenches with compost tea. Top dressing with espoma bio-tone if needed. My Strains are California Train Wreck, Skywalker, Wonder Woman, and Five-O.
I have grown organic before using Vic Highs supersoil recipe but that adventure was outside. The results were encouraging. So...inside now, 4x4 veg tent under a 400 MH, and a 1000 hps in 6.5x6.5 flowering tent.
Pictures to follow, feel free to post.

The girls, only used biotone so far as the tea is still brewing. They're under 200 watts currently.

Nice, first batch of compost tea and the Power goes out from a fall snow storm. Thank goodness for Generators!

Putting the clones in 10 gallon bags tonight (if my pile of soil isnt frozen). Will take pictures. They seem to like the tea!

Looking good. Once you dial in your organic style you will never look back. I encourage you to recycle, re-amend and re-use that batch of soil after this run. It will save you money and should get better with time.

I plan on reusing my soil, and will look to folks such as yourself for advice when ammending. The compost will not be available till spring, so I'll need help finding good replacement for that.

Have you considered starting your own worm bin? Very simple, cheap and it produces top quality stuff. Plus you reduce how much waste you throw out.

Sure have. Put a lot of thought into it. I will probably do it. A local guy sells red wigglers by the pound too.

I put about 10 gallons of tea into a bale of pro-mix to wet it down before mixing it into the existing soil. I should have plenty of soil now for 6 10 gallon bags. Didn't have time to transplant and snap pictures last night so I'll try to "get 'er done" tonight.
