Not a “new” grower but never seen this in my garden before

I fought this on my grow as well. And I only feed 500ish ppm. Flush the pots with a super low feed solution. Like 100-200 until you get the runoff below what you normally feed at.
Yeah it sucks. Especially when you’re unsure of the problem. A little too late to fix it now tbh. I’ll let em fly and either scrap the deficient half of the room or possibly Rosin if it’s not too bad.

Just because they handle it doesn't mean they are using it.
Couple that with "irrigation not been as frequent"
And you've got a situation where that dry back is creating salt build up.

Your wasting your money at both ends..

Cut EC in half and increase irrigation frequency, it does the same thing without the problems you've got now.
I can agree with that. For sure. That makes proper sense. My irritation practices weren’t up to par. Especially my p2s. I like Minimum is 6 feeds. I was only doing 2. So it was inevitable in actuality to run into this problem :wall:

Can we take a moment....... to appreciate how the plant did everything it could to resist the salt buildup, and also expel some of the excess nutrients out and through the leaves, while protecting the flowers that matter most? Like a momma leopard (pic 3 with all the spots!) guarding her cubs. It's amazing what these weed plants can tolerate!
These plants can definitely take a beating. Definitely wish they didn’t though this round lol. To compare this is same strain(glitter bomb) 2 different plants. one that’s affected and one that’s not.

Seriously bad case of TSB, Toxic Salts Buildup, caused by long term overfeeding.

If smoked that pot will snap, crackle and pop like Rice Crispies on steroids and taste like 'chem' so bad. either dry sift to get the trichomes or extract for oil if you want something worth having once this crop is done.

It happens worse with low RH like I have here so I've seen my fair share of that and generally feed around 500ppm/1.0ec max especially during the winter when it's dry as a popcorn fart around here.

I'd be cropping ASAP before all those sweet sugar leaves and even the little bud leaves go all brown and crispy too. Too bad as it looks like it would have been a nice crop.

Another case of less = more.

I flushed all pots heavily. And fed a low ppm feed after. out ppm and ph were solid. Only roughly 2 weeks left. It hasn’t gotten worse in the week. And the ones that were affected a smidge also have no progression on deficiencies. I’m just going to let it fly to 60 and be done with it. Lesson learned for sure.

Which is 3.0 and a tiny bit EC if the ppm is the hanna scale, .5.
yeah nah, the guy who schooled me back in the nineties used the x 700 values. So i stayed with that till now

so 2.2 ec is the highest i go maybe 2.4 depending on the strain and thats it
and thats for hydro, soil/coco i dont go as high

Even at that 1500ppm is still way too high for any but the most hungry indica dominant plants and close to 3X what I had to go use to prevent crispy leaves showing up mid-flower and looking like the subject plants at the end of flowering.

When I've tried to raise the VPN even close to what's recommended the walls and floor of my underground grow room sweat as they are so much cooler than the air temp in the room.

Crazy high ppm. Like 1500 ppm are numbers for very hungry plants. In a feed-water-water system.
pretty sure i specified thats the most i would go upto or in other words i do not exceed 1500ppm or 2.2 ec in response to the guy saying he's giving em 3.0 ec

yall can check my threads and find me a crispy leaf anywhere if you want?

the plants in my vipar threads are getting 2.0 ec atm, or 1400ppm on the truncheon x 700 and loving it :weed:

nobody wants to smoke larf these days
