day 56 of flower
looking like 10 days till i start chopping things down. may let the one sugar cane get chopped on the last day of harvest so it can get 70 days since it seems to be one that needs a slightly longer flowering time. i dont think ill be popping anymore sugarcane seeds i feel like i found a really good pheno already. ill post a some pics of the two sugar cane plants they look vastly different

one of my carbon filters started dying i could smell the flowers on my way in after being out all day hopefully the new one arrives soon i fired up a second carbon filter that i normally use for scrubbing the air when running the co2 it seems to be helping a bit, i usually run both working filters when i trim to contain the smell it better get here quick :shock:

day 63 of flower. one of the sugar cane plants has stolen the show. a few of my plants i think i burnt them a bit last week with fertilizer i switched to just water as soon as i caught on, only pkb1 and the green sugar cane plant seemed to get upset. the purple sugar cane pheno and pkb#7 plants were fine didnt see any fan leaves curl upwards. i burnt a few fan leaves but things will be alright. if the purple pheno of the sugar cane is still nice after the flowers are dried it will likely replace pkb#1 in the garden im still a big fan of pkb#7 its hard to beat those rock hard flowers coated in resin. this will be my last post for a while as ill be very busy it takes me about 5 days to trim my whole room and get everything hung ill be starting to cut everything down on saturday itll be lots of work. the clones are starting to outgrow the tent as well they'll be fighting to get in that room once im done trimming.

i have a couple 6 inch filters they vary in size, i have one vortex one it lasted 2 years i use that one on the ceiling because its light and easy to lift. i also have a kootnay filter previously called can-lite filters. kootnay makes the best filters i had one last 5 years last time they are the best on the market but they have alot of carbon inside them and there very heavy as well as expensive i have the kootnay one on the ground i use that one for scrubbing the rooms air when im running the room sealed with co2. i run vortex fans with them because the quality of the bearings inside the fans lasts forever i had one fan it ran almost 10 years non stop no issues. they come with a 10 year warranty. i was thinking about trying ac infinity but im still on the fence i move slowly usually. i only switched to led like 2 years ago lol

I still have a couple vortex fans, 15 years on. They are quite noisy compared to ac infinity. Fan speed control is nice in a tent but in your space you would probably run them flat out so maybe that's not important to you.

this is true my room is not just sealed its properly insulated and sound proof and the one duct that does go outside the room when i dont have co2 on has a duct muffler that keeps the wooshing of the air down. i dont like hearing my grow room to be honest thats another reason why i rebuilt the room

well im out of trim jail, interesting sugar cane phenos they look and smell different lol. one turned purple and smells like fuel the other is green and smells like tangerines / mandarines. this run i didnt have co2 and holy fuck does co2 ever make a difference for weight if your using the correct amount of light harvest was easy clipped the whole room in 3 days vs 5 days but alot less weight still a good haul none the less.

i also changed the filter today it gave me an opportunity to rip one of vortex power fans filters apart to examine the quality of the carbon because every manufacturer claims there carbon is high quality guess what theres is not lol. they do not use pelletized carbon. they use the cheaper lower quality carbon that varies in size from literal powder to small crumbs. i also like to verify the depth of the bed vs what they claim the depth of the bed to be. that appears to be accurate. i did buy another, but something to note they do not last very long and on there website the first thing they advertise under "design features" is a built in flange on the filter guess what the flange doesn't fit overtop of the flange on there own fans that they manufacture how stupid is that. however they are very light and easy to handle id rate this filter a 7/10
