Not enough room :( Now what?

Ok so I just got my 2x4 tent in along with my light (600W- Air cooled dome 24" long), carbon filter (19" long) and even tho the tent was supposed to be 48" its more like 45" so there just isn't enough room for both. Plus I think it might be to heavy for the top to hold.

I already knew i would have to put my fan outside the tent but can i put the carbon filter outside and pull through the tent thru the filter to the fan out to closet?

I have thought about putting the filter going wide inside the tent but i thought that might be to many bends in the ducting.

Please help I am ready for my first grow but don't want to mess it up. Thx

You want the filter inside the tent to remove the stink.

The only way I could get them both inside is to run a 90 degree angle from the filter to the air cooled light outside the tent to the fan. Would that be ok? Filter > Ducting > Light > Ducting > Outside tent to inline fan? Thx for the help

Another way I thought about to is: run ducting from the outside bottom (for cool air) into tent thru the light out the other side of tent, to the fan thru carbon filter?

Ducting outside bottom > Inside thru light > Outside thru ducting > Fan > Carbon Filter

So I would be pushing air I assume on this one

The filter can be outside the tent, just run the ducting from your exhaust out to it.

K got a problem with the filter. I got it in the mail and it was wrapped in plastic. I understand charcoal being in the bottom of the plastic because of shipping but when I took it out it still kept making a mess everywhere. I've never had one before and if it made that big of a mess in my bathtub what will the fan do? Is this normal and maybe just loose charcoal or what? Can it be broke? haha thx for helpin out a newbie
