Really? It’s a real crap shoot here. I’ve bought quite a few times. Only been impressed twice. Especially considering that a $15 gram here at retail is marked down.
Ok, I take that back now that you have chimed in and you made me think of it, but i have not been to Alaska. It's always in the talks every year with the wife about where we are going to vacation at that time but Alaska never makes the top cut but I will get there sometime soon. So there's no (what you would consider top shelf bud) out your way..like at all, ever? If not, sounds like some growers up your way could use a membership to rollitup.org. we'll get your guys squared away. Lol
I believe, as do most others here, that the problem starts when the grower has to pay $50 per ounce on flower before they can even offer it for sale. Therefore the drying is way overdone and there’s nobody trying to cure the stuff at all. Considering the overhead that’s reasonable but delivers subpar product.
The Green solution is where I got the strain they called the solution if you can imagine that lol. it came in at 21%, but I don't really shop THC percentages, I shop with my eyes and nose more or less. It had a great nose on it, but the taste was very bland, and the sample jar I was shown was much more properly trimmed then the jar I was sold.
I'm up in AK right now on a fishing trip. I paid 73 dollars yesterday for an 1/8 and a 1/2 gram of kief, lol. I was floored at the price, but I kinda get it given location. The budtender asked " it's not that expensive back home huh?" Like nope, I don't pay for weed back home, lol.

Lol I was kinda wondering if that was an in-house special. I've definitely been under-wowed by many of their supposed "top shelf" but I only go for the best high which I typically equate to thc%. I think they put stuff on certain shelves based on flavor and smell and other factors too, and also I think the big reason they use the shelves is to help push the product, to build value, imo its pretty much the same stuff shelf to shelf lol minus a few exceptions.
some of em try to see if they have a strain called super duper lol, but most just ask me to clarify what I like and then I say thc and then I give them my wallet lol
