Not new growing but new to tents and leds

Ive grown for years but never in a tent or with leds.

Currently all im using is a t5 for veg and a 600w hps for flowering.

I've never grown in anything but a 8x10 room (not filled with plants). I've never had a reason to be discreet so ive just put my plants in a corner of a bedroom and put up a Mylar curtain around it basically.

I'd like to get a tent (hopefully you can recommend one http://www.htgsupply.com/Category-Grow-Tents) that I can use for my 600w hps with or possibly a GOOD led light that someone can recommend

The last time I paid attention to led 3w bulbs were the closest you could get to producing an hps quality yield. But beyond knowing that piece of info there's not much I know about where the technology is today.

I see led fixtures on htg supply.. done 3w bulb varieties.

Is there anything I can get led wise that's capable of producing the same general quality/yield as my run of the mill digital ballast 600w hps (also bought from htg about 5-7 years ago)?

I ask because my grow room has no access to direct outside air. Right now I have a huge 20 inch fan (super high velocity) that I use to move air from outside the room into it and it does a good enough job when using my current setup (ie grow isn't enclosed in anything so heat dissipates easily)

In a tent outside/air conditioning would pretty much be mandatory as my room can hit 75-80 right now with the hps running. Summer time I run the lights all night instead of all day to combat the heat and I generally keep it cool enough (between 85-90 max!) Which has never given Me bad results growth/yield/quality wise

An led in a tent would be much more manageable. Any good ones out there?

I don't have any experience with other brands, but I'm loving my Kind LEDs. They have their new K5 series 750 and 1000w equivalent lights that I wish I had the space to try.

i'd say build your own DIY COB for about 1 dollar per watt including tools but really its like 2 dollars per watt once you include your time and labor. otherwise get a bunch of those home depot cree 100w equivalent bulbs.. you can get those for 1 dollar per watt. Otherwise you can buy Area 51 LED panel for about $2.50-$3.00 per watt.

just make sure to get large enough heatsinks and have enough air movement in your tent to help disperse the heat if you go DIY.

Do you have any pics of a grow under a DIY LED? I would like to see that. Do they incorporate UV and IR?

An LED doesn't seem like an easy thing to build right unless you have electrical and horticultural experience.

The Kind XL1000 comes out to $2.60/watt if you use the actual wattage. That's with a 3 year warranty.

Kind led looks pretty impressive. I need to look into it. The only other one I've really been considering is whoever makes the cxb and vero etc. Theirs come with a 5 year warranty which is impressive plus they allow financing through pay pal for free (no interest) for 6 months

I wish more grow logs were available for some of these products!

Also. Back to tents. I was thinking going through htg and getting the agromax mother tent and using it for possibly a mother or two and a small tray of clones.. do able? Or do clones need to be closer to the light than that to be side by side with a mother.

Anyone who has one of those mother tents let me know what lights you run in it and what you've found is doable with the floor space

For flower I was thinking getting the large which seems to have a 4.5x4.5 floor space
