Please assist I'm a first time grower so I'm not sure if this is normal. My plant is only 4 weeks old and its showing some purple things on top. Is this male or female? Thanks

You should ask in the organics section, or the outdoor section how to make the perfect soil yourself.

Otherwise I suggest you use BioBizz Light Mix soil ( netherlands brand ) or something like FoxFarm OceanForest ( which they use in USA, depending on where you live )

I’d dig a big hole and fill it with good soil. If you want to make your own soil you can check out buildasoil website, you can buy it pre made or buy the ingredients locally and make it yourself, they list the ingredients

Also to answer your question, it's hard to tell in the pics but it looks like pollen sacks forming, so male, but not 100% better pics could help
