You need to plant that thing deeper all the way up to the sprout leaves. With a clone you wouldn't have to worry about it, but seedlings use that long stem to build a root base they also have a tap root so they will grow deeper than a clone. use fluorescent or cfl for the little guys and you can put those close the plants and it will slow the stretching.:peace:

get some potting soil or a deeper hydro basket. autos need all the root base they can get. you need as much light as possible. I dont know what you want to do but that stem has to be covered. Ahh!!! got it cut the bottom out of a cup or small pot put it over the plant so its growing in the cup and fill with hydroton all the way up to the sprout leaves.this way it's like extending the size of the hydro basket and you don't have to touch the plant.Do you understand? lighting get a 400w mh minimum and run it 24/7 doctors orders.

IMO autos don't do well in large pots or hydro I had best results in 2 to 3 gallon pots with organic soil that I made myself.
