Nugs, when you are adding Azomite, do you put in the fully powdered stuff, or do you use that granular stuff (I think it's from Down to Earth-- which I'm tempted to take a mortar and pestle to)?

imho, i would never use granular........always powder.....i think my home-made castings are a bonus....but the preperation time of the mix is essential in my mind.

Last question. Promise. Think I'm better of buying powder form, or it's ok to just grind the granules myself? We're talking the same ingredient, just different form, right?

edit: Have you read David Byrne's book, I think it's called Bicycle Diaries? It's on my bedside waiting patiently in line. . . supposed to be a good read.

yeah, i think it would be fine to grind it, but it is some pretty cheap stuff, so it may be worth replacing it with powder, to erase any doubts during the grow....
.....i have not read that....i have always liked the heads, but they have been blowing me away lately, now that i started to play music myself, they are one of the tightest bands ever, along with the police, and rush......the stop making sense concert is brilliant!

be patient, tga is well aware of the popularity of the ace, and will have it restocked everywhere as soon as they possibly can.:-P

I had no idea about the quality of it. That makes up my mind. Down to Earth is now down in the garbage can, lol. Thanks amigo.

.....constantly working with soil......i use it for all my veggies too....i have a huge garden.

love it, they look great....esp. the first one....i like starting with two....gdp will be perfect for main-lining.

they're rooting in 10 days on average no heat mat or anything extra. Just in the tray and dome.

The gdp#1&2 are on day 14 now i believe.. Its slooowww working with flourescents. They've always come out with pretty thick stalks tho.

Another gdp, from outside, is in total darkness for 24 hrs.. She'll start flowering tomorrow. Does anyone else do that? 24 hrs of dark before flipping to flowering? When the light turns on, i'll get some fotos of her.

i wish so much for you to get this pheno i have, you are really not going to believe this when she is done...my challenge is going to be to capture her intensity, so far the pics do not even come close.....

i do have to say this....i am not a huge fan of the jtr dom. pheno., up till now...this is my first exposure to a real lemony/zesty smell, and it is not my cup of tea.......but the nugs are nice, very kush looking...the plant was beautiful.....and i will start sampling in about two weeks, and she may sway me at that time.......but the bcs pheno, has a similar structure as the jtr....but she has it all!.....my favorite yet, and she is only at 37....her colas are massive and she has yet to begin swelling......when she is in the greenie, her blackberry jam scent is everywhere...even outside.....

......so this is kind of interesting....all the tga plants yielded almost exactly 4 zips each.....i only have one more qt to pull in, and she looks heavier.....pushing 5.......there was almost no larf on the ace and flav, and none at all on the first qt, the only larfy plants were the vortex, at approx...30% of the total volume, which is way too high for me....but she was finicky for me from the beginning, and i know that much, if not all of that was grower error.....i am determined to work her kinks out, plus i have another pack on the way, so i will continue pheno hunting....but v-1 is pretty killer, and everyone that smokes her kief gets totally rocked.....i won't let anyone sample any of the flowers for a few weeks yet......so i would say i pulled about 26 jar zips, and 4-6 zips of quality larf for tink and oil......i very lightly gravity kiefed all the sugar trim, and collected about 7 grams....out of the eight phenos, one will be kept, and that is vortex #1.......but i am looking for my signature personal phenos, and am extremely picky....i know for certain that the violet donkey will stick though, so being from the same seed lot, that really makes two keepers......

so since i have started growing tga, i have selected a qrazytrain, vortex, and the violet donkey.....and ofcourse the "D-Train".....my cross of qt and white domina.......so really the only strain that missed was the flav, and she just barely missed, i plan to try her again soon.....she is dank as hell, good yield, dense, decent structure......but her resin does not sift through my silkscreen, and i am not a huge fan of her smells.....right now anyway, she may be similar to my qt where her yumminess doesn't come until 4 weeks of cure.

she is not ideal.....she is very single minded......i can't wait for you guys to see her structure when i strip her fans off.......but what is cool about her, is you could run 16, or even 32 heads, and she is so stout-stemmed, she wouldn't even need a screen!.......she certainly didn't need a canopy ring.....her stems are on steroids.
