Empty your nutrient solution out and replace with a 75% nutrient dilution of whatever you are currently using. Its a bit green but not at a toxic stage, maybe the lights a little to blame as under the shaded canopy when I zoom in I see perfect healthy half eaten growth. Ph pen working and calibrated just find out why you got a muncher! I love DWC and the joy of doing them single like this you can easily empty out the bucket its a breeze brother! Stick with a little cal mag but as makka says you are feeding calcium and magnesium nitrate along with iron chelate which all obviously provide excess nitrogen...

Cos thats whats in a general calmag solution... just kind of thought I'd clarify that!

Good stuff, thanks very much il give it a try. As for the dry and crispy leaves would spraying them help at all or is that a big no no ?

Nah don't bother lad just start a fresh batch of weak nutrient and half the calamg to 0.5ml per litre and keep the EC down to 1.2-1.3 until you're seeing lots of new growth and your roots are halfway down to your solution. A bit of water in a bucket might do her well I'd be surprised if the RH is regularly up in the 60's with wooden walls, carpet and a lamp on 18/6 even with DWC? Sometimes young plants with no soil can look a bit dry and thick tipped but its no big deal, most of it looks ok compared to some shit I seen on here. By the way its gonna be a biggun that lad, looks like a chunky stalk and well trained. And are you're not overfilling the buckets are you?

Thanks mate, il get the res solution changed today with the amounts you suggested.

Only moved her into the closet a few days ago because of stealth issues with my tent and nosey nephews etc so il keep a close eye on the temp and humidity. Still thinking if i need to mylar it or not bother as the walls are already white(ish).

I try and keep the solution an inch or 2 below the pot which only leaves room for about half a bucket of liquid. Might need to think about getting a bigger bucket.

Quick pic of the roots.

Looks real that my lad I'd expect them to fill out a lot in next few weeks though and I use minimum 20 litre tubs and solutions about 7 inch or so off bottom and lower it towards harvest but by then its just 2kg of root mass! You need to keep the EC lower in DWC like 1.2 -1.3 because this will ensure they go through more feed, make sense? The link is a good general guide for most DWC growing basics that may explain things better? In fact he suggests a lower EC but I have had perfect results with Canna Aqua Vega & Flores @ 1.2 - 1.3 with MJ... I do use a mixture of Potassium and Phosphorous which if you search eBay with Botanicare Calmag Plus its a UK guy who flogs lamps and rebottles calmag and PK 9/18 etc I buy all my calmag an PK off him. Jays Hydro it used to be called? He's only in Leeds so its alright for me cos I'm just down road and he's cush as you like with top inside knowledge. If he not advertising the PK just message him as ebay keep taking the listings off. Its fucking bright pink dynamite gear thats pure liquid gold, they love it in DWC! I know loads of lads who he sorts out.

Stay in touch I'd like to see how this comes out man.

Ha yeah its a friggin big gob an all whatever it is!! I wonder if you've just had them crumble away when they burnt or something? Pop a little bucket of plain cold water in there as I think she'll like it... Always use weak nutes in DWC if you can get away with .8 EC do it and don't thump it up to like 1.8 with any PK boosters in flower, just build it up and drop your base nutes further. I always mix my food up with the PK booster first then take my EC up to 1.3 - 1.5 which works ok for me, mega hot nutes in DWC can totally cabbage the roots, the bud and everything! Looking good anyway chap
