plant is 22 days old. full strength gh series solution(3-2-1). ph is at 5.8. light is about 15" away and i feed 3x daliy for 5 minutes. the water barely touches the bottom of the rockwool cube. roots are out of the bottom. most of the roots are white but some are turning a brown color. the plant itself is very droopy and the bottom leaves tips are curling up. the older leaves are turning yellow and brown. temp is around 78-80 rh at 48%. Anyone??

I am by no means an expert and have only started a few months ago but I have read everything I can. If this is a clone in rockwool, how much water are you giving it and how often? I give mine 20-25ml of PH corrected water daily and it seems to keep them healthy. Keeps them from drooping at least.

It looks like yours are sitting in water, I have had this happen because of a failure in my auto watering system while I was out of town and saw similiar curling and yellowing.

From what I have read, you can drop the nutes, at least for now, plants cannot absorb nutes until they have roots. Are there roots out the bottom of the rockwool?

Fire me back a little more info and I will give you what advise I can, someone else may be able to elaborate for us.

On second look, noticed no plastic on the rockwool? I leave the plastic on mine, seems to help keep them from drying out. I read this somewhere on rollitup, possibly an Al B. Fuct post but dont quote me.

Sorry for the slow response, I have been out of town.

1/2 inch above what fill line? Is it sitting in water? If so, that might be the issue. Rockwool cubes will soak up 50-75ML of water, generally you want about 20-25 in the cube max at any given time, at least that is what keeps my kids happy.

Too wet is not good, too dry is not good either, its a balancing act. I have found that over time you will learn how much water they need and how often to keep them happy. I generally dont rewater until the cubes are getting dry. I read that its a balance between water and air that works best.

also try keeping the plastic on them, it helps retain the moisture in the cube.

Igrow hydrophonicly water is constsntly wetting my cubes i have never had any problems.

Don't cut the leave's off cut back the worst bits of the ends of the ends of the lower leaves.I always take bottom leaves of any way it gives plants better air movement around bottom of plants.[DON'T FORGET GROWING WEED IS NOT A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH IT'S FAR MORE INPORTANT THAN THAT] ?
