Nute levels after flushing reservoir

I removed some males from my setup about 7 days ago but a lot of the roots remained tangle up in the reservoir. dwc setup. current ppm about 1100.

been adding some 3% peroxide over the past 5 days and now want to flush out the reservoir.

so after I flush it, should I immediatly bring the ppm level back up to 1100 or go more slowly

I would use an enzyme product to eat those dead roots.

You need Hygrozyme or Sensizyme to dissolve the dead root matter.

ok. got some Canna Cannazyme in my reservoir now.

Should I flush out and replace every week now to get rid of the dead root material?

My understanding that the purpose of an air stone is simply to create circulation by creating a water column from bottom to the top. Oxygen exchange actually takes place on the surface of the water. The more surface area, the more exchange you would get. The real purpose of the bubbles is simply to lift the water to the top.

I've got both an airstone and an ultrasonic fogger in my reservoir. The fogger creates lots of circulation and turbulence on the surface.

Do I really need the airstone?

yea your going to need the air stone to add oxygen to the water so that the fogger is misting non stagnant water and nutes onto the roots.

The air will help lower the rez temp and provide additional DO.
I don't use air stones anymore, just keep the hose bubbling below the surface.
But i always have a powerhead
laying on the bottom of the rez,
to keep everything stirred,
and it runs 24/7, along with the airpump.
If you get real ambitious,
you can install the air hose
onto the inlet of the power head.

added a unwater pump to circulate the water. made a huge difference with droopy leaves problems I was having..

yeah airstone will make a huge diff in health of your plants.. im using a home made bubbler and i have a 2week old white rhino doing well.
its the first time uzin a bubbler and im basically doin wot i do in my nft tanks and im seeing good results so far..
