so i want to start weening my plants onto nutes. i got fox farm grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom( i know, damn hippies). i am also testing the ph for the first time( 1 month in) and am trying to figure it all out, my water ive been using is 5.5 and i just tested the soil and its about the same. my question is were do i go from here? i also bought ph up and down. im a total noob at the ph and nutrient shit(have read a little on it though) so any help is awesome, but in the mean time ill go try and read up and see if i cant educate myself lol.

ps if you want more info about my plant/setup and what not click the link in my sig

Hi, I use FF's and the mfg. recomendations are too strong for the hydro set up I use. I cut them in half at first and I've built up to a little stronger solution mix after 6 months of experimenting. In soil it will depend on how often you feed.
I would start at about half the suggested amount and I wouldn't feed every time I watered if your using soil. The nutes will build up in the soil and cause 'salt' burn which is an overdose of nutes. Try feeding every 3rd time or so. Beware of over watering too. you want to let the root zone dry about half way out between waterings.
I use mostly Grow Big with a little Tiger Bloom for veg & clones and Tiger bloom with a good splash of Big Bloom and a titch of Grow Big to help maintain good photosynthesis even during flowering. The Nitrogen makes the plant healthier and bigger too. I've tried it with no grow big and the result wasn't as good as adding a little. You'll figure out your own secret recipe. It's just basic gardening.
Anyway there's a start. Good Luck, Happy Gardening! GrowIT!:weed:

thanks man! ya i figured i would just have to wing it and guess and check, i started them off today with a quarter strength solution, after i feed it next time after i water with just plain water ill add a little more nutes to make it 1/2 strength then ill be starting flowering i think so ill start using the tiger bloom and stay at half for like 3 weeks then go a little more towards full for like another 5 weeks or so till im ready to start to flush. the ph went up to 6.3 ish btw so i think im good! +rep for you BTW
