nutes and soil help

I'm starting my first real grow next week using CFL's and need help with choosing nutes and soil. For soil, I just need to know of a quality soil I could find at Wal-Mart. Same for nutes, it's my first grow so I am trying to stay basic to stay safe. What are some affordable, basic nutes I could feed my plants?

Go to your local plant nursery instead the only soil mix present at all walmarts is miracle grow go to your local nursery and start with a basic organic soil mix I recommend 3/4 Fox Farms Ocean Forest with 1/4 Fox Farms Happy Frog but experiment and see what you like best the same goes for fertilizers heck you can even go with miracle grow I just don't recommend it due to there being high nutrient levels present in the soil that can actually burn your plants just ask what fertilizer they recommend for growing great tomatoes

Fox Farm is soil/fertilizer company that many people use to grow cannabis because this soil is set at a nutrient/ph/drainage ratio that are great for cannabis plants so this is the reason I recommend it to beginner growers there are many other great company's to use you can even use a soil less medium such as coco peat which has no additives present in it so you can monitor everything that is present in your growing medium so just take a look around the shop see what looks good to you this why us growers havn't been making any new advancements recently because we have been using the same information over again.

I cannot order fox farm I am buying organic bagged fertilizer. For nutes what should I look for with the "15-15-15" spot?

Okay so it's like this Highest-Lower-Lowest during the vegative growth stage during flowering period it's Lowest-Higher-Highest It's the nitrogen-potassium-phosphorus ratio all companys have different numbers depending on the ratio of nutrients present in the soil/fertilizer. That organic fertilizer will work just fine just remember to not exceed feeding.

Donii, I'm going to save you a lot of headaches and in the long run your wallet too.

Soil = FFOF PHed already between 6.3-6.8
Yes, it cost more!
But, you don't need to add Perlite or stuff into the soil to get a good PH.

Think of what it would cost you to buy some kind of soil, add Perlite, maybe some Garden lime etc.
When your done buying all the stuff you need. You could have just bought a 18 dollar bag of Fox Farm Ocean Forest.

You can use MG stuff low dose and sparingly.. But, I would go organic... I think they sell Alaskan fish stuff @ Walmart and Homedepot.

Oh and i'm partial to Fabric pots too. Been a winner for me.

Good luck

I don't have a credit card, that's why ordering is out of the question. I understand it is better, and wish I could get it but it isn't possible at this moment. Thankyou for input, and for the element ratio, does the size of the number matter? Or as long as they are in order?

Getting a prepaid visa 100 dollars, my shopping cart for attitude seeds is 60 bucks. Where can I order some FFOF forthe lowest possible price?
