any suggestions for nutes for a first time dwc 5 gal grow?

I'm a Humboldt Guy right now, but not ignorant to other products.
Botanicare is really simple and clean and cheap.
Dutch Master, i've not heard too much about them, but from what I've heard, I'd say they are known for their yields.
And Recipe for success is all around a great kit with everything in it.... But more bottles = more confusion = more problems


Humboldt Counties Own, General Organics, Roots Organics, all not recommended for DWC

So easy.. I never check the pH. Ever. Ever.. never..

im a fan of humboldt nutrients 3 part system along with ginormous bloom booster

I vote for Supernatural too! Never adjust pH ever! Gro Aqua, Bloom Aqua, Super Boost, Bud Blaster, and Superlicious. Even if you just use Gro Aqua for veg and Bloom Aqua for flower with no additives, you get great results. Since this is your first run with DWC, you should start off with just those for now. Price is good too!

I just switch from House and Garden. I have 2 plants on it's 4th week of veg using these nutes now. I did run Gro Aqua, Bloom Aqua, and Super Boost about 6 months ago. I got some samples of Supernatural from my local hydro store so I decided to try them out on a small plant just to see how it does. I was very happy with the results and recently made the switch. I wanted to finish out on the H&G nutes first plus I've been searching on more infor on others using these nutes. I couldn't find much info so I did the switch anyway because I liked the results I had on my test run. I'm still gonna run some of the H&G additives along with the Supernatural nutes. Currently I'll be using Supernatural's Gro Aqua, Bloom Aqua, Super Boost, Bud Blaster, and Superlicious. I will also be using Great White and House and Garden's Roots Excelurator, Drip Clean, and Bud XL. My veg plants are doing great right now and pH stays stable even when using the H&G additives.

Order FoxFarms. Seaweed Extract B1 thrive Guano. Sylica Boost for Yeild.; & a measuring cup.

I've been using the supernatural for about 6 months and rocking the world famous p-91 strain<--- (this strain loves hydro) so cals finest.

Very easy to use. You don't need all the other additives honestly.

Just the the grow, bloom, and the boost.

I literally just mix half the recommended dose and the plants just love it. Super green and praying to the light.

keep it simple.

Flush it a lot.

A little about me.

I've been in 3 gallon plastic bags of soil for about 3 years and pull about 2-3 zips per plant.

I know how to pH and all that other jazz.

I've used house and garden. I love all the house additives but not the base nutes.

Supernat= Set it and forget it.
If you start adding more additives it might mess with the pH and really there is no need.
I would just add some Roots excel or ZHO.

And you have amazing buds.


Make sure you flush really well and use a good organic base additive in the flower cycle.

Did I mention i never check pH?

wow thanks for all the great advice guys. i definately have a good starting point. i think i'll go with Supernatural (that seems to be the general consensus (sp?)) sounds easy, and thats just what i need right now, especially since i still have a soil grow going. off to the hydro shop!

Based on 63 day 12/12 Flower Cycle:

Day 1-14
6ml micro
9ml bloom

Day 15-21
6ml micro
9ml bloom
7ml Kool-Bloom Liquid (0-10-10)

Day 22-28
9ml Bloom

Day 29-35
9ml Bloom
7ml Kool-Bloom Liquid (0-10-10)

Day 36-52
9 ml Bloom

Day 50-63 (Flush)
6.0 pH h20 at <100 ppm

this is the formula from rezdog that I use. Im on my 1st DWC too, this was recommended to me by someone on here.

I used to run gh but I switched to house and garden. Now I'm using supernatural. Got pretty good results with gh. You should run koolbloom dry too on the last 2-3 weeks. It made a big difference. I used liquid and dry. I always used the liquid from day 1 through week 5 of flower though. It seemed to push it into flower sooner. I also used Flora nectar. Gh is pretty good stuff and it's really cheap.

yea the DRY KB really puts on weight...i use both the dry and liquid.
