Nutradip Meter Goes Nutz

I recently picked up a Nutradip CMS Tri Meter, for those of you who dont know what it is see link below. Well here is my problem all the wiring, including the meter probes are feed through a hole into the flower room. When the HPS kicks on the meter goes out to lunch; reading a PH of 3.1 and a PPM of 4000+ the temp appears to be high but not outside the realm of possibility. So I calibrated the meter and it works fine and it reads normal PH and PPM when the HPS is off. My question is if anyone else has had this problem or is my meter "special"?

What sort of ballast? I have a heart rate meter that won't work when I'm driving ... some sort of RFI from the ignition messes with the electronics. I'm betting on FRI from your ballast. cn

I have a 1K dim-able digital ballast.

I had a friend with the same problem using a generic digital ballast, he was able to
move a bit further from the ballast and things were fine.

Were you possibly inside a tent? We weren't sure if a combo of the tent and the ballast
could possibly cause an issue too?

I did read somewhere that if you recently purchased the meter you can contact the mfg and
they'll send you a new PCB for the unit that works fine.

Was this a unit purchased off ebay, and possibly older stock?

Wow you nailed it i purchased it off of ebay and the box had dust on it and the PH probe had signs of the buffer solution leaking out. The probe works fine and so does the meter but it is very suspetable to electrical interference. I do not have the meter in a tent.

Have you another CMS solution you recommend? I hear blue lab has a nice one but I dont want to waste another 200$ on a meter that doesn't work right.
