Hello,
I presenly have 3 tiny plants 2 days old with the first set of true leaves emerging, they are 15mm tall and are in 60mm rockwool cubes supported by gravel in 1 liter pots... sorry no pictures yet. the medium is presently moist and the plants are 1 meter under a 250 watt metal halide lamp and each pot is covered with a PET plastic dome to create a humid environment.... my question is "when should i begin a nutrient feeding program"
I have purchased Canna Aqua nutrients both Vega ie. "vegative growth" and Flores ie. "for flowering stage of growth" CANNA - THE SOLUTION FOR GROWTH AND BLOOM but im uncertain when to begin feeding... there is a recommended feeding schedule available at the web site link, but i have read so many journals where feeding begins at 5-8 days into plant development and others where feeding begins immediately..... on the web site feeding schedule it states that week 1 a dilute solution is used to aid in root formation........
If anyone has previous experience for this early stage of development it would be great to recieve their input...... The Aqua Vega A/B solution has an NPK ratio of 6-3-8
And the complete solution mix breaks down as a
6.0 % N (Total)
1.3% N as (NH4)
4.8% N as (NO3)
2.8% P2O5
(1.2% P)
6.9% K
(8.3% K2O)
2.0% Ca
(2.8% CaO)
1.0 % Mg
(1.6% MgO)
1.1% S
(2.8% SO3)
0.007% B
0.001%Cu
0.03% Fe (DTPA)
0.02% Fe (EDDHA)
0.02% Mn
0.0025 Mo
0.007% Zn
0.05%Si

I also have the Aqua Flores Solution and an additional PK solution to aid in fruit/flower development to use at a later stage..

I use clonex(not the gel) on all young plant and clones, regardless of how old. But to start stronger nute i would wait until 1 week. or until a good root mass starts. just make shure you ph any water that you give it. 6.0-6.5

Uses the Rollitup profile
I start feeding my plants nutrients before they can eat, before they have roots there is a medium of weak nutrients and vitamins/hormones. When they start growing they are fed, and they continue to have nutes as long as they live. It's hydroponics, which means working water, if your water doesn't have nutes, it's not working. :blsmoke:
