I'll save you a lot of time and money.
Fox Farm is over rated, and over priced. Everything they make.
I've had all the fox farm stuff.

Dr. Earth makes good cheap soil. IMO it's better than any of the FF soils

General Hydroponics is the best when your talking price, and ease of use.
Flora Nova 2 part will grow your weed just as good as a 9 part nutrient schedule, and save you @$150.00 to put twords other things.

If you wanna go low budget. use Dried Blood or Blood Meal in the Veg, and Triple Phosphate in the Flower, and a bag of Garden lime.
The only way you can get any cheaper is to grow outside with soil you composted.

Hey, I'm pretty much a newbie myself - but I've been using the EarthJuice product line for this year's grow - and the girls seem to be loving it. They are relatively inexpensive. You can find their feeding chart/schedules on-line. I've been following the Advanced schedule for the most part.

Other than that, the only products I've used are the Advanced Nutrients Mother Earth Super Teas - which were awesome, but pricey.

Can't offer any suggestions on the lighting. I grow outdoor only.

Best of luck!!

I have been really happy with Dyna-gro nutes. I personally prefer a non-nuted soil mix so I am controlling everything. I mix cheap potting soil, peat moss, perlite and vermiculite with about 2T of dolomite lime added in per gallon. I ease into the full dose on the dyna-gro chart. But the combo of it and my mix (plus ph eberything) has led to fairly carefree growin for me.

I just got an Area 51 LED. So far so good but i'e only had it a few weeks.
