Nutrient meter help

Hi this is my first hydro grow and I am puzzled by my nutrient meter. It only takes readings when my nutes are warm. Do they all work like this and is there a recommended temp to take readings. My reservoir is kept cold but black piping ensures the nutes are warm by the time they reach the plants

Surely someone on here uses a meter. Having to heat my nutes to check tds during top up is becoming a real pain

I think something is wrong with your meter. What is this black piping that heats the nutes before it gets in the water? Your supposed to let the nutes mix with the water for a few minutes before measuring it so it shouldnt be warmer than the water when you test it.

I use a blue lab guardian ph, ec, and temp monitor and it will take readings at any temperatures I have used it with. What brand is your meter?
