lol good luck with that bro...you think these nute companys just mix some shit together n sell it..?
it takes numerous scientists, years of testing....im not even gonna get into it..!!
Basically by the time....ahhhhh nevermind..!!
yes. I do think these nute companies juts mix some shit together and sell it. Don't believe what AN tells you. People have been formulating and using complete hydroponic nutrients since the 70's, man.
You just need a little knowledge of chemistry/botany and think a little bit.
Most companies have a "guaranteed analysis" that tells you exactly what ratios of the essential nutrients are supposed to be in their products.
And you don't need numerous scientists to replicate that. If you put on a lab coat and open a chemistry book, you can be a mothafuckin scientist, too!!
That being said... For those of you who are interested, I found some of FatMan's old posts listing some of his mixes:

This is a high concentrate formulation based upon analysis concentrations. The EC of the Part A is 1.08, Part B EC = 1.64, combined the EC is 2.72. Obviously a higher EC then most would consider using.
The PH used with RO water should be 5.4 at 1:100
The TDS ast a 1:100 mix is 1904
There you go. Buy some salts from ebay or a chemical supply store and go at it. You can tailor the quantities to suit your personal needs. (that's what I'm doing)
Anyways, there's a jumping off point.
