Nutrient Recipes? Who's got em?

Hi Is this the formula you are still using? Does this make a gallon of concentrate? Where do you purchase your products? Thanks

In the hopes that this is not dead...
Does anyone bump the CaMg during early veg and late flower?

If so, what percentage?

Thanks

This is a thread based on mixing salts from scratch.

What do you mean by "bump CaMg"? CaMg is a marketing term.

The term should never be used in the same context of what's actually going on. There is no such thing as CaMg.

I read somewhere that adding more Ca + Mg during early veg or cloning and later in flower has benefits. My dry frmula, HR V+B has ~ 10%. Trying to get an idea how much to bump (increase)

Seriously though, this thread is based on making your own hydroponic nutes with salts to get element levels right.

In order to add more Ca, you need to add calcium nitrate and to get more Mg you either need magnesium sulfate or magnesium nitrate.

Your question is almost identical to asking if you should use less potassium or more nitrogen. You can't just increase the level of cations without either replacing other cations or adding anions. In order to increase calcium nitrate, for example, you have to reduce potassium nitrate or you'll be increasing the level of nitrate.

Ca and Mg are both cations. This means if you add Ca or Mg, you must either replace some of the cations you currently have (K), or add to the level of anions (nitrates and sulfates).

The term CaMg makes my skin boil.
