Nutrients and Hormones? Help!

I have started planning my next grow and I want to know what I should use to start up...
"Back in the days" the big names were Advanced Nutrients and Fox Farms...but now I have no idea what the top products are...
As for the Hormones, I have absolutely no idea which product to get...

I have also been reading a lot on Coco, but I'm not sure if I should stay with soil or go with Coco?

fox farm is still top of the line, i myself use a few of the HUMBOLT NUTRIENTS lines as well as GREAT WHITE which is microorganisms that help your roots develop super fast and strong. im sure someone else can have more info on it though, this is just what iv been using

Id stick with the "BACK IN THE DAY PRODUCTS"..... Tried,testedd and passed..... I myself use fox farms... really can't go wrong with them...
