Race cards are pulled by Democrats at will---often against Republicans---who rarely do anything racist. It's all politics It's the democrats golden ticket and they don't want to give it up---nothing like a distraction.

The newspaper being beat up on is considered right of center.

On another note---the attorney general is right about voluntary social segregation for the most part---except for bbq's and basketball pick up games
