Oakleys iso method.... But how to purge?

I now have a couple runs under my belt using oakleys iso tek and am pretty happy with the results. Iso is defiantly a lot easier than butane. My only problem is ever since I started using iso oil in my g pen I've had a soar and scratchy throat. I'm not to sure if it due to the iso not bring purged all the way or just the fact that I could be getting sick. Now for my question how do I mak sure all the iso is purged? I heat my Pyrex to around 150f if that helps at all. Thanks for you help!

thin layers. long periods. a fan helps. light heat. vacuum purge.

I believe if its done right, it should be shatter when its fully purged. thats generally the rule for everclear, not sure about ISO though. I know my oil was soft for a few days, then it started to turn rock hard and shatter and glass up which made me think it wasnt fully purged for the first few days I was smoking it, even though I had purged it pretty hard... time seemed to be the best purger.

We use both carboxylic acid shatter and decarboxylated oil in pens. Iso will produce either, depending on how much heat is applied. We purge at -29.5" Hg and 115F until the solvent bubbles are gone, for shatter, and 250F for decarboxylated oil.
