Oasis cubes for clones, garbage?

Anyone here have any success with oasis cubes?

I have done two batches of clones with them now and have not had one clone root!

Here are my steps.

Take a clone off at a 45 degree angle. Dip in water then clone powder. Push the sides of the hole shut. Wet the cube with weak grow nutes and place in dome. Place a T5 light on top the dome and let it run all day. After 10 days the clone turns purple, I rip them open and I see no roots at all, the stem had no change

No success and I dont know what I am doing wrong. Thinking that oasis cubes are pretty shitty even though lots of people rave about them.

0728111326a2.jpgI highly recommend getting root riot cubes and using clonex.

I know oasis cubes work for some but root riot kicks ass, just moisten them and keep the humidity up.

What's wrong with tried and true rockwool? My seedlings LOVE it. Just soak in pH 5.5-6 water for a bit, plant and keep moist!

it took me about 2 weeks to even notice little root bumps on my clones, when using a clone machine...

id let them go longer before you rip them out.
and i think 10 days is a bit long to leave the dome on.. i leave it on for like 3 days.. but im REALLY new to cloning, so what do i know...

I actually do both. I keep pH'd water in a spray bottle, dial the nozzle until it sprays a fine mist and then I just give a few squirts around the edges of the cup. This moistens the rockwool and hydroton I have to keep them securely in place and allow drainage (prevents waterlogged rockwool). I spray them decently well when lights come on and then a light spray if they feel dryish when lights go out just so they don't dry up during the 12 hours of dark.

For clones, and not seedlings, you will likely want to get a little spray on the plants since they have no roots to eat with.
