Obama addresses the LEGALIZE question today!!

cali makes like 3 billion a year of medical marijuana, just think how much that would boost the economy if every state sold it. theyd prolle tax the shit out of it tho "/ n prices are high as it is......good thing we grow =]
 
right now people are worried about the economy and it would sound pretty stupid for him to press the issue. The word is getting around and more states are approving medical use. This is a transformational period and eventually, I believe that once people have had the opprotunity to talk and think about it, the tides will turn more easily. We need to write our politiicans and demand that our voice be heard. The feds have agreed to stop raids on the medical marijuana stores in Cal, so it's slowly begining to turn.

Keep it in their face. The squeeky wheel gets the grease.

Anybody see Marijuana Inc? We have come a long way, and soon everybody will see how profitable the industry will be on the nation. Further we get, closer to globalization in our views, the more opportunity to leagalizing it we become. Look at the laws in other countries who are are allies. Why would we be any different than them at this point? Thanks to organizations like NORML we have come a long way. A simple reclassification would be a huge milestone.

The point is, it's not that we want him to press the issue, but to address it with a serious and mature answer. No matter what he's talking about or asked, he extends his answers into speeches, even if he does or does not agree with the question/matter at hand.

It was rude, ignorant, and simply not a fair response to all of these dedicated people who went online and voted for this question.

Usually if you were busted with a dime sack, it's either you were being a dick or the cop was being a dick.

Very rarely if you're polite and honest to a cop will he cuff you for a $10 bag.
 
thats what i was wondering, what the circumstances were? either put the shit in your crotch or just tell them you have it, usually they only arrest people who lie to them about it!

The Feds agreed to stop raiding clubs in Cali, but one just got raided recently right after they said that.

To me growing buds is like brewing beer. Different methods create different flavors, and buzz's. Sure if MJ was legalized corporations would sell it, but small brewers make great beer and do very well, even though Budweiser (piss imo) is around.
Plus mass produced always sucks compared to small batches that have more care put into them. Prices may drop, but you will be able to grow and sell with immunity.

As far as Obama is concerned. He said everything he thought he needed to get himself elected. It's not a surprise that a Politician is going back on his word, it's been going on for years. I'm more concerned about the "New World Order", socialism and globalization. Wait until we have one world bank, currency, IRS etc.. Capitalism will be dead, and only a handfull of the wealthiest bankers will run the world.
 
I really dnt know if we should legalize, i mean there are sooo many positive reasons to why we should. but then again like everyone who makes money off selling marijuana would be fucked bc then feds start regulating and prices drop sooooo far...

i would like to see legalizeing tho
 
i totally agree that he would like to legalize it but doesnt want to be the one who goes down in history as the person who did it because he is black and a smoker, which would probably lend him the profile of a drug seeker.

actually the state only generates about 11 million a year from the medical MJ in california, its if they DID legalize MJ and tax MJ, california would generate between $1.5-2.5 Billion!!!

And remember marijuana is illegal because of stupid people back in the day who said that the Mexicans and Blacks who smoked it, were corrupting white youth, and turning everyone who used it into crazed killers.
 
i think we just need to wait for another generation to grow up. once the baby boomers arent voteing anymore, it will all be people who had the majority of their lives from 1970s-now. its only 2009! id say maybe in 20 years, maybe longer, hopefully sooner. im very sure it will happen, it will just be a while. in the mean time, there will be more decriminalization 1st.
